Takumi now knew quite a few aliens. Boros, the space pirate, wasn't doing much these days. If needed, Takumi wouldn't mind calling him over to help. Or perhaps he could even ask Lala's father.
Hearing that, Ningguang immediately understood what to do.
"Understood. I'll refuse their request when the time comes."
"Speaking of which, I heard the research institute is also planning to develop the universe, right? Maybe seeing our situation here is what prompted their request."
Ningguang couldn't help but smile at the thought. She recalled some items that ordinary worlds had recently purchased. It made their intentions clear. Now that multiple worlds had merged, Earth's resources alone were clearly no longer enough.
That's why they'd set their sights on space. But relying on themselves to develop it would take a long time. Hence, they wanted to see if they could get help from here.
"That's not a problem," Takumi said. "They're welcome to buy technology and study here. But joint development? That's unnecessary."
This matter wasn't even worth discussing. Takumi's own world wasn't fully developed yet—how could he have time to develop someone else's?
"Agreed. That settles that issue. Lately, the Mechkai have been a big help. With so many worlds merging, there's been a mix of good and bad."
"Some unsavory characters tried to stir up trouble here in 977, but the Mechkai took care of them all. Even many regular robots are starting to transform into Mechkai."
"That's why I've begun building prisons. I'm also planning to have teachers from the magic academy create a dimensional prison to lock criminals in alternate-dimension barriers."
Ningguang shared her plans with Takumi. With more people came more chaos—it was inevitable. There were always lawless individuals.
"If they're truly violent scum, just wipe them out," Takumi said. "Scum isn't even worth calling human. Kill them if you have to."
As he spoke, Takumi silently issued orders to the Mechkai. The truly vile ones—eliminate them. No need to waste resources. Their deaths could be counted as new business for Hu Tao. She'd be thrilled.
Ningguang nodded silently. She understood what to do now.
"I have a question," Keqing said suddenly. "Is the land in this world continuously expanding? Sometimes it feels like entire mountain ranges are growing taller and farther away. I don't think it's just my imagination."
She had long suspected that the land itself in this world was evolving. Now that Takumi was here, she had to ask directly.
Takumi nodded. "That's correct. With the fusion and strengthening of the world, the land has expanded. It's not an illusion."
"But don't worry—once cities are built, even if the world grows, it won't really affect things. At most, you'll feel that some places are further away than before."
"This growth will probably stop soon."
That's how his world worked. It couldn't be helped. As the world grew stronger, changes followed.
Right now, Takumi's world had an extremely high level—maybe not on par with Little Garden, but certainly not inferior to the Toaru world.
The only issue that truly annoyed him was that the world level was increasing too quickly, while civilization struggled to keep up. It felt like the world was taking steps too large to manage.
"Alright then," Keqing said quietly. Even after living in this world for so long, she still couldn't quite grasp its strange nature. Sometimes, she just felt totally lost.
Takumi didn't stay long with Ningguang. His next destination was the Strike the Blood world—to collect more magic books.
After saying goodbye to Ningguang and Keqing, Takumi left the building. Once outside, he suddenly noticed multiple spacecraft launching in the distance—not just one or two.
Seeing this, Takumi paused. "Has space exploration already begun?"
It had to be Velvi and her group.
"Yes," Prometheus replied. "Kosmo is leading the mission. They'll first drop equipment on Mars, then perform a space jump to another planet."
"The first phase of Mars terraforming will focus on atmospheric modification, then creating a habitable environment."
As Prometheus explained the plans from Dr. Mei and Velvi, Takumi nodded in approval.
"Let Dr. Mei know—once Mars is ready, we can send some people there to live. Other species too. Now that so many people from merged worlds are here, some may want to live among the stars."
Takumi said this casually while continuing to walk. The moment he finished speaking, the message reached Dr. Mei.
Receiving the info from Prometheus, Dr. Mei nodded thoughtfully. Takumi wanted a flourishing, diverse world. These other races were also part of his world now—be they human or demon, if suitable, they could be sent into space.
With that in mind, Dr. Mei began making preparations. She first recorded the task. Even if they were to send people to Mars, they'd need the right candidates.
There was no rush. First, finish terraforming Mars.
Dr. Mei glanced outside at the excited crowd watching the spacecraft launch, then returned to her work. Let Velvi handle the ships—after all, that was her specialty.
...
Takumi headed to the portal connecting to the Strike the Blood and God-Slayer worlds. There were plenty of people passing through the gate into Takumi's world.
But to get to the City of Hope from there, they still needed to take a spaceship. These transportation systems had all been set up under Prometheus' direction.
The island originally used by Takumi to manage dimensional gates had gradually become bustling.
Takumi walked through the portal and arrived on Itogami Island. Upon arriving, Prometheus immediately synced with the local network.
"Miss Gabriel is currently slaying gods."
Takumi had barely stepped into the God-Slayer world when Prometheus delivered this shocking news.
"Huh?" Takumi froze. "She's killing who??"
Wasn't Gabriel supposed to be eliminating demons here?
And now she's slaying gods?
Surely she wasn't doing what he was thinking?
Good grief!!
