I paused, biting my lip. "Okay."

Dominic slowly leaned back. "One breath at a time, remember?"

I glanced back down at Mr. Sun's text.

And for a split second, I wished more than anything that I could just… say no. That I could stay in this room a little longer, pretending my life wasn't on fire.
