The northern training hall of the Rotschy estate was vast and silent except for the faint clatter of steel and the shifting weight of gravity altering with each move. The air hung thick with anticipation, but Jin moved with the grace of a seasoned warrior, his crimson eyes locked in unwavering focus on the blade he wielded..
Dressed in black from head to toe—his shirt tight against lean muscles, trousers sleek and tailored, and boots whispering against the polished floor—he swung Nihil, his signature sword, with measured precision. The black leather gloves, fingerless to reveal his pale, slender fingers, gripped the hilt tightly, each movement slicing the invisible air with a whisper of lethal intent.
Jin's long bangs clung damply to his forehead, but he barely noticed. His skin, pale and perfect like porcelain, glowed faintly under the soft lighting. Every sweep of the sword was fluid, an elegant dance of death practiced countless times.
Suddenly, his rhythm faltered. The blade paused mid-swing as a tremor ran through the air—power approaching. His crimson eyes narrowed sharply, senses sharpening like a predator on the hunt.
The heavy double doors to the training chamber creaked open.
Without turning, Jin's voice cut through the quiet, cool and unyielding. "Who's there?"
A figure stepped into the room—a woman with hair like freshly fallen snow, cascading past her waist with faint crimson tips fading like dying embers. Her long black lashes framed fiery red eyes that burned with confident defiance. Her skin was flawless, an ethereal white, and her full lips tinted a soft rose.
At nearly 175 centimeters tall, amplified by slender black heels, she wore a flowing black dress that hinted at both elegance and danger.
Jin's lips twitched into a faint, unimpressed smirk as he finally turned. "Who are you, little one?" His tone was cold, indifferent, the flicker of recognition absent as his gaze assessed her.
Rena stepped forward, her smile playful, voice light yet edged with mischief. She raised her hand, flashing the unmistakable glint of Jin's wedding ring. "Darling, don't you recognize me? That's a terrible flaw."
Jin's eyes flickered with a trace of warmth, amused. "Ah, so you are the wife I never quite noticed."
Rena laughed softly, a sound like silk brushing steel. A tiny fang peeked teasingly from between her lips. "Yes, that's me. And I'm very much here."
Jin's crimson eyes sparkled with mirth. "Welcome back, my fierce little dragon. Tell me—what new upgrades have you been working on?"
Rena stepped closer, confidence radiating from her like heat. "I've merged with the heart of Drasiroth. That's why I look... different."
Jin chuckled, shaking his head. "I always suspected you were no ordinary sorceress. Your mana presence isn't human anymore—it's like a hybrid beast."
With a daring glint in her eye, Rena reached out and traced a finger lightly across Jin's cheek. "Exactly. Half dragon now. And, my love, I want to play—a fight between us, no holding back. Just raw power."
Jin grinned slyly, drawing Nihil with a smooth motion. "Alright, then. Let's see what you've got."
In an instant, Rena sprang forward, a burst of silver flame enveloping her hand as it blazed fiercely to the elbow. Her strike came fast, aiming to test Jin's reflexes.
Jin parried smoothly, though the force pushed him back an inch. "Stronger than I expected."
Rena smirked, launching into a flurry of rapid punches and kicks, her body a blur of fiery motion. Jin dodged and blocked expertly, the dance of attack and defense escalating.
With a fluid backflip, Jin distanced himself, eyes gleaming with challenge. "Impressive. But now it's time to get serious."
He summoned a surge of mana to his sword, unleashing a crescent-shaped wave hurtling toward Rina. She countered by releasing a silver fireball, the two attacks colliding in a burst of power that shook the chamber.
Jin charged, swinging his blade in a deadly arc. Rena met him blow for blow, flames licking her arms as she matched his speed and strength.
The duel intensified—mana crackled, fire roared, and steel sang as both pushed their limits. Jin's kicks sent Rena flying, but she recovered gracefully, conjuring multiple spears of flame that rained down like meteors.
With a furious roar, Jin cleaved through the fiery onslaught, channeling wild crimson energy, shattering the flames and closing the distance once more.
The ground trembled beneath their clash, dust and debris swirling in a chaotic storm of power and will.
Rena's laughter rang out, bold and fearless. "Come on, Jin! Show me what you're made of!"
Jin's smirk widened, eyes burning with excitement. "You asked for it."
