Charge!

With each cannon blast, the Silvermoon City gate was weakened further. Behind the gate, in the long passage, the Burning Legion's army silently waited for the city gate to be breached.

The Lich King Arthas was flanked by his right-hand men, Sylvanas and Kel'Thuzad; in comparison, the Burning Legion's Anetheron had a veritable wealth of talent around him.

"You will charge out first," Anetheron commanded, not requested. He was Archimonde's adjutant and the de facto commander of the Burning Legion. Even demons had to obey his orders, let alone Arthas and the Scourge, mere servants of the demons. Arthas didn't even have the right to speak to him as an equal.

"Yes," Arthas's voice, filtered through his black helmet, sounded heavy, filled with a metallic tremor.

"The master's plan is about to be completed, we must hold on!"

Shells frequently flew over the city walls and landed in the dense crowds, blasting undead and demons into the air. The demons of the Burning Legion felt incredibly stifled. They had conquered countless worlds, when had enemies not trembled at the mere mention of their names? Unlike now, where they were being suppressed and beaten, unable to retaliate!

The enemy's timidity emboldened the Alliance forces. The artillery units even pushed their cannons forward for point-blank firing. Amidst the flying rubble, a breach was immediately blasted into the Silvermoon City gate, and then it completely collapsed in the next round of shelling.

"Charge in, kill them all!"

"Warriors of the Horde, attack!"

"People, the time for revenge is here! Kill these demons who destroyed our homes!"

The High Elf forces charged the fastest. Almost every one of them had anger in their eyes, radiating murderous intent. Orcs, humans, and Forsaken also surged towards the city gate.

The Burning Legion was clearly unwilling to be passively beaten. Under Anetheron's command, the Scourge army charged towards the city gate. An incredibly mocking voice came from the Scourge side, reaching the ears of the Alliance:

"All life must perish! The Legion will ultimately conquer this world!"

The voice came from a lich, who was the first to charge towards the gate.

Aiden, hearing this harsh voice from afar, thought it was some important figure. But taking a closer look, he didn't seem to recognize him—he had met Kel'Thuzad, but besides that guy, there didn't seem to be any other famous liches, right?

Was this lich so arrogant because he had something to rely on?

"Death and Decay!" the lich shouted. A large patch of dark red, foul blood suddenly surged from the ground near the city gate, as if boiling. It enveloped the entire gate.

"It's the Lich Ras Frostwhisper! Stop!" Anna suddenly shouted. She clearly recognized the enemy.

Aiden's heart skipped a beat. He remembered who this guy was—he seemed to be the lich who attacked the human base during the Battle of Mount Hyjal!

At that time, Jaina was the commander in charge of the human defense line and had fought against this lich, so she would definitely remember him.

"Eliminate him from a distance!" Aiden immediately ordered the army to stop advancing. Death and Decay was a terrifying spell, which could be seen as the lich's most powerful ultimate, extremely lethal and with a wide range. He was unwilling to use lives to test the specific effects of this spell.

Heavy machine guns and rapid-firing cannons roared, bullet trails tearing through the air, all flying into the city gate and towards the lich. His magic shield was shattered to pieces.

"Magic Crystal Arrow!" From the crowd, Ashe raised her ice bow and shot a giant ice arrow.

"Final Spark!"

"Arcane Barrage!"

Lux and Ezreal also unleashed their ultimate moves. Crescent-shaped barrages and beams with terrifying heat all shot towards the gate.

Finally, Jinx, holding her Fishbones rocket launcher, aimed and muttered, "Heh, watch my Super Mega Death Rocket! Enhanced Stinger version!"

The explosive shockwave and bright light completely obscured people's vision. The Alliance heroes couldn't see what exactly happened to the lich at the city gate. However, Arthas, behind Ras Frostwhisper, witnessed everything firsthand.

First, the Magic Crystal Arrow crashed into the lich, interrupting his spellcasting and preventing him from maintaining his shield spell. Then, the Final Spark almost charred the lich's body, followed by the Arcane Barrage which cut him in half, and finally, the Super Mega Death Rocket blasted the lich, who had no ability to resist, into pieces, leaving not a single complete bone nearby.

"Idiot!" Arthas gritted his teeth. He unfolded a green magic shield to block the aftershocks of these spells, but still, some of the death knights were killed by Lux's and Ezreal's spells.

This lich was simply more trouble than he was worth! Couldn't he have waited for the main force of the enemy to rush in, and then quietly released the spell in a corner? That way, he could have caused massive damage and blocked the subsequent enemies from coming in. Unlike now, where he didn't kill a single enemy and instead sacrificed himself!

An idiot is an idiot! He'll die wherever he goes!

After the foul energy on the ground disappeared, the Alliance launched another charge. Arthas was forced to lead the Scourge army in a counterattack. He led the undead army towards the Forsaken army led by Kael'thas. And the first to charge in was none other than the death knight Broxigar!

Ever since he was summoned to this timeline, this death knight had always been his ally—but no longer.

"Arthas! Come, let's have a good fight!" Broxigar roared, charging up with his rune axe.

"As you wish!" Arthas's heart stirred, and he rode Invincible forward. But he didn't use his full strength at all, only half of his strength, fighting Broxigar to a draw.

Regardless of whether the Burning Legion won or lost this battle, he had to preserve the strength of the Scourge army as much as possible. The demons' disdain for the Scourge deeply stimulated him. Now he was just cannon fodder, and if he lost any more strength, he probably wouldn't even have the qualifications to be cannon fodder!

Ranger-General Sylvanas also charged in, searching for the Queen of Banshees in the enemy ranks. Soon, she found her target—the Dark Ranger was holding a bow, constantly shooting black arrows at the Alliance warriors, taking away one fresh life after another.

During the Battle of the Sunwell, she had seen herself as a Dark Ranger, and the other version of herself was much stronger than she was now. Last time, it took her, her two sisters, and Rhonin to fight against the dark Sylvanas. This time, they brought a new friend—the Night Hunter Vayne!

"There! Sisters, hurry!" Sylvanas waved her hand towards the banshee's direction, leading the charge.

Vereesa and Vayne followed. Rhonin also followed, feeling a burst of annoyance: "If you don't call me brother-in-law, calling me brother would also be fine!"

The Scourge army was now short of talent, with very few heroes, and each Scourge hero faced the siege of a large group of Alliance heroes, instantly falling into a disadvantage.

This time, the first to suffer was the fallen blood elf prince.

Kael'thas and Anasterian, father and son, once again found this guy who was corrupted by fel energy. Archmage Rommath and Ranger-General Halduron Brightwing also surrounded him. To make matters worse, the Frost Witch Lissandra also targeted this fire magic user.

The fallen Kael'thas summoned a phoenix corrupted by fel flames, which was instantly frozen by Lissandra's ice. Prince Kael'thas and his father charged forward side by side. While Rommath and Halduron temporarily entangled the enemy, Flame Strike pierced the fallen prince's abdomen, while Kael'thas summoned a powerful flame spell, blasting this fallen version of himself into pieces.

The fallen Kael'thas died just like that.

When the blood tainted with fel energy splashed on the high elf prince's face, he stood there stunned, maintaining the casting motion he had just performed. A strange emotion surrounded him. He had a sense of guilt similar to self-torture, and also a sense of relief from shaking off the shadows of the future.

Anasterian patted his son on the shoulder and said to him, "The shame has been washed away."

"Yes, it has been washed away," Kael'thas came back to his senses, his eyes filled with brilliance. He wiped his face and saw the purplish-black tainted blood sticking to his fingers, unable to imagine how he would become this terrifying in the future.

But not now.

"After the Cataclysm, our kingdom will be reborn from the ashes!" Archmage Rommath said in a deep voice.

The other high elves were greatly encouraged, walking out of the shadow of their destroyed homeland.

"Let's finish this battle first!" Lissandra immediately poured cold water on them. After the witch finished speaking, she ignored the reactions of the others and directly turned to the next target.

Following the fallen Kael'thas, the second unlucky one was Kel'Thuzad. Originally, he was hiding in the crowd, occasionally releasing spells to sneak attacks, not charging up to die like other Scourge warriors at all. But still, someone targeted him.

The "Undead Juggernaut" Sion raised his huge battle axe and began to rampage in the enemy ranks. A terrifying red light emerged from his massive body. Wherever he passed, the Scourge was sent flying. Thresh followed behind him, happily collecting the soul fire of those Scourge who were killed by him.

Sion's crash happened to be in the direction where Kel'Thuzad was. The lich had no choice but to use Flash to escape this route.

"Oh, a powerful soul!" Thresh happened to see this scene. He became excited, waving his hook and scythe, aiming at the lich's landing point, "It's you!"

The hook and scythe flew out, flying straight towards Kel'Thuzad. The lich was originally rejoicing in his cleverness, but in the blink of an eye, he was hooked by "Death Sentence." In the battle of Drak'Tharon Keep, it was Thresh's hook that caused the Lich King Arthas's failure to harvest the souls of Uther and Prince Arthas and other paladins. The entire battle was therefore defeated.

Kel'Thuzad also saw that scene, so he knew its power well. After being hooked, the lich immediately felt that something was wrong.

He didn't know that another lich king, Dar'Khan, had died because of this, a record that would definitely make him even more desperate.

"There's the prey, come quickly!" Thresh hooked Kel'Thuzad and immediately threw the lantern Soul Rend to the rear, while he pulled the chain, flying towards Kel'Thuzad.

Xin Zhao, Garen, and Jax were all near the Soul Rend lantern.

"Kill, I want kills!" Garen shouted, rushing towards the lantern.
