Symphony

Today is the last day of the annual Valoran Music Festival. Let us join this carnival of music! As the first music festival, this day will surely be remembered in history! Believe me, friends both here and listening on the radio, this will surely be a day forever etched in our memories, and the most glorious day in the history of Azerothian music—let this music cleanse our souls! Audience, please prepare your ears and let us listen to the sound of 'Fate' knocking on the door—welcome the famous pianist Franz Liszt from Valoran and the Pearl Philharmonic Orchestra to bring us—'Symphony of Fate'!

Draven's passionate voice and exaggerated gestures ignited the audience's emotions, and the atmosphere of the theater suddenly became extremely enthusiastic.

The virtual screen on the main stage displayed some pictures and information:

Symphony of Fate

Performers: Franz Liszt; Pearl Philharmonic Orchestra

Original Author: The world's greatest piano musician, Ludwig van Beethoven

"I will seize fate by the throat; it shall certainly never wholly overcome me!"

Next to it was a brief introduction to Beethoven and the creative background of 'Symphony of Fate.' While the orchestra was preparing to take the stage, many people noticed this information.

The importance of 'Fate' being the opening performance on the last day of the first music festival is, of course, beyond doubt. Many people know that this piece comes from Earth and is a famous piece of music from Aiden's hometown. For the past two months, the Pearl Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Liszt have been secretly rehearsing. Everyone who has had the good fortune to hear this symphony has excitedly called it the most shocking music they have ever heard in their lives. However, no matter how the reporters tried to dig, they could not obtain any further information.

The mysterious 'Fate' has appeared on the pages of major Valoran newspapers for two consecutive months, repeatedly discussed and speculated upon. Everyone is incredibly curious about what this piece from the Chief's hometown is like.

For the final performance, everyone in the orchestra kept their promise and kept it a secret until the moment it officially debuted.

Everyone believes that when it unveils its mystery and officially faces the world, it will surely drive everyone crazy!

In the VIP seats, all the leaders were present.

Daelin Proudmoore, seeing the words displayed on the screen and learning that Beethoven composed this movement in a state of deafness and extreme frustration, couldn't help but solemnly say, "This is truly a great proposition—'Fate' is worth our deep contemplation."

Prince Arthas next to him nodded in agreement, "Yes, although I haven't heard the sound of 'Fate' yet, Mr. Beethoven's words have already deeply shocked me—'I will seize fate by the throat,' what a tenacious will! For a musician, deafness is a more severe punishment than a warrior losing his weapon."

King Terenas was old, and after a long period of unconsciousness during the Nightmare Crisis, his health had been poor. Now he had basically handed over the government affairs to Arthas, focusing on recuperating. There was only one thing he couldn't let go of—he hadn't seen Arthas get married.

Now Arthas and Jaina's relationship is very good. If it weren't for the years of disasters, they would have already entered the hall of marriage in peaceful times.

After the Ulduar crisis ended, Arthas was busy with the food crisis, and the marriage was delayed.

Although everyone didn't make a direct decision at the meeting during the day, Arthas knew that his marriage would probably have to be postponed again.

"The performance is about to begin." Prince Kael'thas, seeing that the stage was ready and the conductor had bowed to everyone, reminded them.

The theater suddenly fell silent.

People had thought that 'Fate' might be very shocking, but they never expected it to be so intense from the very beginning—

"Da-da-da-da!"

Liszt heavily pressed the keys, and the piano emitted intense and short sounds, just like fate knocking on the door.

Some audience members who were originally leaning back in their chairs immediately sat up straight when they heard this series of notes.

Then the first movement came crashing in like a landslide.

Uther clenched his fists tightly. He couldn't help but think of the countless battles he had experienced. He led the Silver Hand's paladins, shouting slogans, bravely and resolutely charging towards enemies several times their number.

Some of the enemies were the Horde legions from the Second War, some were the Scourge and demons from the Third War, and there were also Nightmare minions, servants of the Old Gods… He seemed to be once again trapped in the enemy's formation, launching a resolute charge against the dark forces.

"Fate…" Uther muttered softly. If he wasn't clear that he was sitting in the Pearl Theater, in another setting, he would have certainly generously shouted the Silver Hand's slogan, "Defend honor with blood."

This is a movement of battle. Everyone who experienced the momentum of 'Fate' for the first time felt the shocking power.

The first movement made them feel the strength and terror of the enemy, just like those terrifying existences in the past disasters of Azeroth—the Scourge, demons, Old Gods, each one seemed capable of easily destroying their world.

The enemies were so rampant and tyrannical, so evil and terrifying, so dark and powerful, as if they were invincible.

But they would not yield!

All the suppressed emotions and resentment in people's hearts, after being brewed in the second movement, transformed into unparalleled courage and conviction. Even if the enemy is powerful, they must never give up their determination to resist!

The enemy is indeed powerful, and the situation is so treacherous and severe, but if we bow our heads, we will be forever plunged into darkness, unable to recover!

The third and final fourth movements are both parts of "battle." It is the struggle of people against fate, the struggle of light against darkness, the struggle of justice against evil, the struggle of will against destiny!

The enemy is strong and we are weak, how can we win?

The third movement brings people such thoughts, and the fourth movement gives the answer.

As long as we overcome the fear and hesitation in our hearts, persist in the belief that we will win, resist to the end, get rid of the fear of "fate" in our hearts, the final victory will belong to us!

All the suppression and anger erupted in the end. The ending of the fourth movement is like a hearty and complete victory after defeating the strong with the weak, filling people's hearts with the joy of victory.

It seems to be saying:

Look!

The Scourge spreads terrifying plagues, wanting to turn us into walking corpses.

Did they succeed?

No!

The Lich King and his last evil servants are forever buried under the collapsing Icecrown Citadel.

That is his fate!

Look!

The Burning Legion wants to destroy our world, countless demons descending from the sky.

Did they succeed?

No!

The arrogant "Polluter," Archimonde, who destroyed countless worlds, has his shattered corpse floating in the void, unclaimed.

That is his fate!

Look!

How terrifying are the Old Gods, even the Titans cannot defeat them. The terrifying curse of flesh has spread across Azeroth for tens of thousands of years, and the minions of the evil gods are constantly plotting for the arrival of the "End Time."

Did they succeed?

No!

C'Thun and Yogg-Saron, the powerful "God of a Thousand Eyes" and "God of a Thousand Throats," are rotting underground, and the last N'Zoth now lives in fear, terrified all day and night, worrying that the righteous crusade will suddenly come.

That is their fate!

When the last note of the *Symphony of Fate* fell, Uther immediately stood up and applauded vigorously. The old paladin thought of too many things, his heart was surging and difficult to calm, and his eyes were sparkling with tears.

This is definitely the most soul-stirring music he has ever heard in his life!

Then the entire audience applauded and stood up. The audience was almost as excited as Uther. At this moment, only frantic applause could express their respect for this great symphony!

The applause continued, and Liszt took three curtain calls, but the applause still did not stop.

Music knows no borders. This classic work from Earth, moved to Azeroth, or heard by any race that can appreciate music, would be received in the same way.

"This is the greatest gain from my visit to Los Angeles," Jarod Shadowsong praised while applauding.

Night elves also love music and art, but their musical style is mainly ethereal and subtle. In more than 10,000 years of history, they have never produced a symphony with such an intense style as the *Symphony of Fate*.

Even so, Jarod was fully able to appreciate its charm. This symphony brought him back to the War of the Ancients ten thousand years ago. Those memories that he had originally thought had faded with time emerged, making Jarod's emotions become Passionate.

If it were in other occasions, High Elf Prince Kael'thas would inevitably tear down the stage with the Night Elf General, but now he couldn't agree with the other party's opinion more.

"Ludwig van Beethoven, he certainly deserves the title of the greatest musician in the world."

The musical style of the high elves is richer than that of the night elves. Their mainstream music tends to be gorgeous and complex, and too much emphasis on technique leads to exquisiteness, but lacks momentum.

However, Kael'thas was very proud to see that there were many high elf musicians in the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra.

Being able to participate in the premiere of such a great work is undoubtedly an supreme honor.

Prophet Velen turned to Aiden and said, "This is truly a soul-stirring work—although we draenei have a long lifespan and a long history, we have not created music that can compare with it. Do humans with short lifespans seem to be more blessed by God? Is that so, Aiden?"

Aiden said, "Perhaps it is precisely because life is short that humans work harder than other long-lived races? This sense of urgency and crisis makes us emotionally rich and intense, like a meteor, because it is short and eternal."

He paused, and then smiled: "Actually, there is another reason—there are many people on Earth, so the geniuses who can stand at the top of the world are all outstanding. You must know that throughout history, only one Beethoven has been born out of tens of billions of people."

Many great works have been born on Earth, but there are very few that can reach the height of the *Symphony of Fate*. Among those musical giants, only a handful can be compared with Beethoven.

The entire population of Azeroth combined is not as large as a modern international metropolis. Comparing it this way can better illustrate the problem.
