Chapter 96: Godslayer Academy in Danger!!

A one-push strategy.

It's extremely risky.

Normally, only a team with overwhelming strength would dare to try it.

But now, a bottom-tier academy like War Saint Academy was going for a one-push against the nation's number one school.

It wasn't just the commentators.

Even the spectators thought War Saint Academy had gone crazy!

"Seriously? War Saint Academy actually wants to one-push Godslayer Academy?"

"Aren't they getting way too cocky? Just because Vincent Fox won once, they think they can crush Godslayer Academy now?"

"Who's commanding War Saint Academy? This is way too reckless."

"I actually think the decision is pretty smart. Pulling a reverse one-push at this moment could really catch Godslayer Academy off guard. It might actually work."

"Yeah, I agree. War Saint Academy's lineup is all about Vincent Fox. The rest of their team is pretty average. If they drag the game out, they're just giving Godslayer Academy a chance to turn it around."

"Now that you put it that way… this does make sense."

Among the crowd of gossiping spectators, there were plenty of sharp minds.

Many people had already figured out Vincent's true intent.

Inside the canyon.

The entire War Saint Academy team had gathered in the mid-lane.

At that moment, the second wave of minions arrived.

"Push!"

Following Vincent's command, everyone charged forward and quickly cleared the three mechanical minions.

Over on Godslayer Academy's side, Carter Brooks and William Yi had just reached the mid-lane boundary when they saw War Saint Academy's entire team charging in. Their faces immediately changed.

"This is bad!"

Carter shouted and immediately contacted his teammates. "Shane, all of them are here in mid-lane. Looks like they're going for a one-push. William and I won't be able to hold them. Get over here quickly!"

Hearing Carter's report through the communicator, Shane Farris and the others were completely stunned.

They never expected War Saint Academy to be this bold to pull a one-push right back at them!

"Hold on! We're on our way!!"

Shane roared, "Everyone, drop what you're doing and head for mid-lane right now!!"

At the same time, Vincent and his team had already cleared the minion wave.

Without waiting for the next wave to reach the tower, Vincent immediately ordered, "Victory, you're up. Charge in!"

Zoe Harper might be a girl, but aside from Vincent, she had the highest durability in the team and could withstand several hits from the energy tower.

Vincent's durability was even higher.

But Vincent didn't want to reveal how tough his body actually was. He didn't want anyone to question his unusual stat distribution and possibly trace it back to the hero he bonded with.

Hearing Vincent's command, Zoe didn't hesitate and dashed straight into the energy tower's attack zone.

Zoe was usually pretty timid.

But in the canyon, you can revive after dying, and the pain is significantly reduced. Naturally, she was much braver here.

Boom!

An energy blast instantly hit Zoe's body.

She gritted her teeth in pain but didn't retreat.

Vincent and the others quickly followed up.

Seeing this, Carter immediately shouted to William, "Take her down, quick! Focus the tank!"

William's hands instantly lit up with a flurry of playing cards.

He had inherited the talent of "The Magician's Sleight of Hand," ranked seventh among A-Class heroes a highly versatile ability that allowed him to attack using playing cards.

Whoosh!!

Just as William was about to launch his attack, a blazing fireball came straight at him.

Even before the flames reached him, the intense heat had already washed over his face.

William panicked and quickly spread out his cards, forming a layered shield in front of him.

Boom!!

Vincent's fire punch slammed into the card shield, triggering a violent explosion.

William managed to dodge in time but was still caught by the blast wave. He was blown backward and crashed heavily onto the ground.

He didn't die!

But most of his health was gone!

"Carter, I'm still alive," William grunted.

Suddenly!

A silent arrow shot straight through the air, piercing his forehead in an instant.

William didn't even get to finish his sentence before his eyes went wide, falling to the ground in disbelief.

It was Autumn Summer's arrow that finished him off and claimed the kill.

"That's it! I'm going all in!" Carter roared and charged at the group.

Honestly, he didn't have much choice.

The minion wave had already reached the tower. If he didn't move, the tower would be gone.

Seeing Carter charging, everyone instantly focused their attacks on him.

He didn't last two seconds before they cut him down.

The final blow was delivered by Zoe Harper.

"Zoe, fall back!" Vincent commanded.

He saw that Zoe had taken several hits from the energy tower and was now badly injured.

Since there were no defenders left under the tower, there was no need for her to tank anymore. Letting the minions take the hits was the correct play.

Zoe quickly retreated from the attack zone.

The energy tower's fire immediately shifted to the minions.

"Push the tower now!"

Even without Vincent's reminder, everyone was already hammering the tower at full speed.

A few seconds later.

Boom!!

The mid-lane's first energy tower exploded.

It was only then that Shane and his teammates finally arrived.

Even though their teammates had died and the tower was destroyed, Shane managed to stay calm.

"Don't fight them head-on. Fall back to the second tower!" Shane barked. "Hold out until Carter and William respawn!"

His judgment was spot on.

Right now, they should definitely play defense and make use of the tower to stall Vincent's team.

If they fought directly now…

Even with all five of them, they weren't Vincent's match let alone a three-versus-five.

They needed to wait for Carter to respawn. Once they were back to five-on-five with tower support, they might have a chance to win!

As Shane's team retreated into the second energy tower, Vincent turned to Zoe and asked, "How's your health? Can you still hold?"

Zoe struck a tough-girl pose. "I'm fine!!"

"Good!" Vincent immediately ordered, "Keep pushing. Don't give them time to regroup!!"

Honestly.

If Vincent wanted to go all out and expose his full power…

He wouldn't need to make things this complicated.

He could've solo-pushed the entire lane and crushed their crystal within a minute.

But right now, Vincent's strength wasn't at its peak yet.

To play it safe, he needed to keep a low profile and keep farming.

When the day came that he was truly unbeatable, he wouldn't have to hide anything anymore.

By then, even if people realized his terrifying stats and suspected the truth about his Saitama Physique…

He wouldn't care.

Anyone who dared to come for him would still be greeted by the same answer one punch!!!

The deeper he goes, the more the truth unravels. Don't wait read ahead and witness Vincent's rise before the world catches up!
