(Arceus POV)
War broke out.
Over the next 200 years, the different pony tribes united—though not for peace. Instead, they rallied together against every creature that wasn't a pony. Fueled by their newfound unity, they embraced the belief in pony supremacy and sought to rule over all others.
They weaponized their growing magical aptitude, turning the very forces of nature into tools of conquest.
The pegasi controlled the skies, using weather as a weapon. They brought devastating floods upon any who dared defy them.
The earth ponies, with their immense strength and deep connection to the land, caused earthquakes and summoned famine, uprooting entire regions with a mere stomp.
But worst of all were the unicorns. Their mastery of magic allowed them to manipulate the sun and moon. Originally, both celestial bodies were equal in size and orbited the planet naturally, guided by the ambient magic of the world. But through their meddling, the unicorns disrupted this balance. Now, the sun and moon required constant control, no longer able to move on their own.
This caused me quite a few problems. These were my creations, and their actions were damaging the world I entrusted to them. I could no longer stand by and watch.
Discord, on the other hand, was having the time of his life. The chaos they caused brought him to literal tears of joy.
But after much deliberation, I decided—enough was enough.
I gathered every pony into a single place and stripped them of their deep connection to the world's magic. I didn't kill them; I simply weakened them. It was a necessary act to protect the other races and to force the ponies to reflect and learn from their mistakes.
Yet I couldn't leave them completely defenseless. They were still my children, and they needed guidance.
So, I created a new form of pony—larger, stronger, and wiser. These beings possessed both wings and a horn, and would live immortal lives as my direct connection to ponykind.
They would be called Alicorns.
Their purpose was to guide the three tribes, to unify them through peace instead of war, and to ensure they evolved into something better.
One of these Alicorns was named Faust. She became the spiritual and moral guide, dedicated to making sure ponies never again marched to war.
Another was named Umbra, a protector—his role was to defend the weakened tribes from threats, ensuring their survival and stability.
Together, they would lead the ponies into a new era.
An era where they could finally become the species I always hoped they'd be.
