Chapter 2

While Lu Xiangyu was speaking, his hand began to restlessly explore my body.

I turned my body to avoid him, my gaze sweeping over him: "Your clothes..."

"Oh, these are my Big Brother's." Lu Xiangyu said naturally, "The weather's too hot, and the few clothes I brought got soaked with sweat, so Sister Wanwan brought me Big Brother's clothes to wear."

A sting of pain shot through my heart.

In just one night, Lu Xiangyu had already changed from calling her Sister-in-law to Sister Wanwan.

As I turned my head, I noticed my suitcase was wide open, with several pieces of underwear and dresses missing.

When I looked towards Lu Xiangyu with confusion, he merely chuckled and said, "We couldn't find the right feeling at first, so Sister Wanwan suggested why not wear your clothes, so I looked for them to give to her. Don't worry, she'll wash them clean and return them."

Hearing this, I almost felt sick enough to vomit.

Lu Xiangyu approached me again, his hand slipping under my skirt.

"Big Brother left in a hurry, and Mom said Sister Wanwan must get pregnant this month to prevent gossip."

"We'll be staying at the old house for the whole month. I've already taken a long leave for us from the company, and I've informed Mom and Dad, saying I'm taking you and Duoduo abroad for a vacation, so they don't suspect a thing."

His breath was hot against my ear, and his hand grew more unruly.

"Wife, I have to visit Sister Wanwan's room again later; if we don't get intimate soon, we won't have time!"

I forcefully knocked away Lu Xiangyu's hand, creating some distance, and quickly said, "If you're supposed to get Sister-in-law pregnant within a month, then don't waste your energy on me; it's more important to carry on your Big Brother's line!"

Lu Xiangyu hesitated, then laughed and said, "My wife is so understanding, figured it out so quickly! Fine, when we're back in the city, your husband will pamper you well!"

Before leaving, he kissed me on the cheek.

After closing the door, I locked it from the inside and scrubbed the skin he had touched in front of the mirror until it was raw.

For the next month, Lu Xiangyu slept every night in Sister-in-law's room and never came back to find me.

Duoduo and I were half-confined to our room, only being brought leftovers by my sister-in-law at mealtime, who never showed us a pleasant face.

I bore it all in silence, counting the days in my heart, waiting for the chance to return to the city.

Finally, one evening, Lu Xiangyu personally knocked on my door.

"Wife, I've got huge news, Sister Wanwan is pregnant!"

"My mom had someone read the fortune, it's a boy! She prepared a great meal to celebrate! I didn't want to neglect you and Duoduo, so I came to invite you to join us for dinner!"

Faced with Lu Xiangyu's enthusiasm, Duoduo hid behind me: "Mom, I don't want to go..."

A month of isolation, and Duoduo had sensed something was wrong, no longer her usual warm self towards Lu Xiangyu.

I let Duoduo stay in the room and followed Lu Xiangyu to the main hall.

The large round table was laden with dishes of chicken, fish, meat, and eggs, and my mother-in-law's thin, dark face was spread with wrinkles as she smiled, beckoning to Lu Xiangyu: "Youngest, Wanwan saved a seat for you, come sit!"

Lin Wanwan looked at Lu Xiangyu with affection, shyly lowering her head like a new bride.

She was wearing my cyan dress!

Lu Xiangyu agreed immediately, pulling me to sit without caring whether I agreed or not.

At the feast, Lin Wanwan seemed more like Lu Xiangyu's wife than I did.

She spent the whole time serving Lu Xiangyu food and pouring him drink, peeling the shrimp, dipping it in sauce, and then bringing it to his mouth.

Mother-in-law, seeing this scene, gave me a triumphant smile and hinted to Lu Xiangyu: "Youngest, didn't I tell you? When finding a wife, find one who knows to care and be considerate, it doesn't matter if a woman has an education! If you had listened to me earlier, you'd be living this happy life by now!"

Lu Xiangyu was served like an emperor, completely forgetting there was still me sitting beside him.

Fueled by the wine, he repeatedly thanked Mother-in-law while holding Lin Wanwan and giving her a kiss.

Lin Wanwan pretended to be shy and gently pushed his chest, "Xiangyu, what are you doing, your sister-in-law is watching!"

Lu Xiangyu shivered, finally removing his arm that had been around Lin Wanwan for so long, looking at me with a fawning smile: "Wife, you don't mind, do you?"

I gave a forced smile: "This is nothing, you've done more intimate things, what do I have to mind?"

Lu Xiangyu was at a loss for words, and Lin Wanwan suddenly covered her face and started to cry.

"I know I'm a burden, sister-in-law is indirectly calling me shameless for seducing men, but what can I do, having married into the Lu Family, I live for the Lu Family, and die as the Lu Family's ghost, isn't it all to extend the family line?"

She wept pitifully, and Mother-in-law immediately threw down her chopsticks, pointing at my nose, and started to scold me.
