The scene calmed down, and all eyes were on me.

I turned my head and looked at Gu Ci's puzzled almond eyes, pleading for his help.

"I've been falsely accused of being President Lu's mistress. You know I haven't dated anyone besides you, let alone met any President Lu. Please help me prove it."

A man would never tolerate his girlfriend cheating on him, right?

Gu Ci couldn't possibly lie for me.

Xu Ke curled her lips, mocking and ridiculing me.

"You're really stubborn. You were caught cheating, and that's why your boyfriend broke up with you. Now that you're dragging him to testify, are you planning to admit to being the mistress?"

Gu Ci and I broke up because of a long-distance relationship, not because of what Xu Ke said.

As long as Gu Ci spoke up, he could prove my innocence.

I covered my face and got up, my eyes full of grievance.

"Lin Xinxin, isn't your new boyfriend the CEO of the Lu Family? How can he bear to see his beloved being bullied at his own company?"

"Call him and have him come get you!"

Gu Ci's tone was firm, and my heart ached.

He cares about me, he definitely still has feelings for me.

But I don't understand how I became someone else's mistress?

Thinking about what Gu Ci said, I quickly dialed President Lu on my phone.

After a few rings, the call connected.

"I'm at your company's press conference right now, come find me quickly!"
