20: The Unknown

It's been a few days since Danika was beaten by the guards for disrespecting Alpha Heir Lucian.

She wasn't given any time to heal, not as if she asked anyway, knowing what sort of woman Nandi was and didn't bother to ask for permission to recover from her injuries.

They were still under punishment as Nandi had mandated none of the Kitchen chefs give them anything. It would be so for two weeks, being overworked to ensure that none of them had the chance of going to the bushes to hunt down meat or food they'd feed on.

But surprisingly, on the night of the day they had been thrust to this hard punishment, a knock had come on their door and when Mordred had opened the door, they were shocked by what they had seen.

A woven basket had been placed on the entrance of their door which Mordred brought in.
