Warning

Leo/Ryn

He woke up with a start, yawned, then stretched his hands and rolled off—falling to the ground with a thud.

"Ow."

He groaned, rubbing his hip as he blinked at the familiar runes carved into the stone walls. He'd been here before, and the sharp incense filling the air confirmed his thoughts.

This was Master Lynsander's sanctuary. And while he was still looking around, he heard someone arguing nearby.

"You didn't have to raise your voice, Master Lynsander," said a voice he recognized immediately. It was Veyr's.

"I wasn't raising it. You were deliberately being infuriating," came the sharp reply from Master Lynsander. "You three need to understand how serious the situation is. If this gets to the High Tribunal, it will be much worse than this."

"It was one rune," Veyr muttered. "A powerful one, yes, but—"

"One that nearly destroyed the arena's barrier and almost killed those students."
