Chapter 67: Saving Someone

Chapter 67: Saving Someone

"I better get out of here quickly..." Looking around at the obviously expensive furniture in the room, Hachiman Hikigaya guessed that the system must have teleported him to some wealthy family's villa.

He first went over to the window, preparing to climb out.

But the bustling crowd below, all dressed in lavish clothing, immediately made him give up on that idea. Better to sneak out quietly...

Resigned, he retreated back to the center of the room, glanced back at the door behind him, sighed helplessly, and started walking toward it.

However, just as he reached to grab the handle and open the door, footsteps suddenly echoed down the corridor outside.

"Could my luck really be this bad?" Hearing the footsteps, Hachiman's face instantly fell.

He hurriedly hid inside the closet, holding his breath, silently praying that whoever was outside wouldn't come into his room.

But fate was not on his side—the footsteps stopped right outside the door to his room!

"Well, my luck really has no equals..." Rolling his eyes helplessly, Hachiman quickly spent 1000 Spirit Coins from the system store to redeem a kind of stealth ability.

"Bang!" With a kick, the door was flung open from the outside, and Hachiman caught sight of the person fully...

Kazuki Otani was humming as he strolled down the corridor. At this moment, he was carrying Yukino Yukinoshita in his arms, heading toward her room.

Could one say he was truly deserving of being Yukinoshita's daughter's "lucky guy"?

Just by talking a few sentences with Mrs. Yukinoshita, the two sisters immediately noticed something unusual about their mother and lured Otani to an empty spot to forcibly subdue him.

Unfortunately, although Yukino's sister, Haruno Yukinoshita, was very skilled in combat—most adults probably wouldn't stand a chance against her—Otani was not an ordinary human.

When Haruno tried to control Otani by applying a joint-lock chokehold, he immediately stopped pretending.

Stretching out his neck and making a terrifying face, he scared Mrs. Yukinoshita, who had come to watch, into fainting on the spot.

Although Haruno and Yukino tried to stay calm, they were both so scared they froze, completely unable to resist.

By now, Haruno and Mrs. Yukinoshita had been tightly restrained and locked inside a lounge, while Otani, carrying his "prize," went upstairs to enjoy his victory.

"Huh? Is there anyone else on your second floor?"

Kicking open Yukino's door and sniffing the unfamiliar scent, Otani suddenly became suspicious. He looked down at Yukino Yukinoshita, who was conscious but physically restrained and unable to move.

Yukino didn't answer Otani's question; she just glared at this monster with murderous intent.

"It's okay if you don't talk. Soon enough, you'll be begging me to use more force."

Seeing Yukino's cold expression and helpless yet murderous glare, Otani felt a strong sense of delight rise inside him.

He didn't bother thinking why there was a human scent in Yukino's room. Stepping inside with a big stride, he threw Yukino onto the bed and tried to pounce on her.

From the moment Hachiman saw the one man and one demon, his brows furrowed tightly. Because the girl in Otani's arms looked very familiar. And as Otani threw the girl onto the bed, the fleeting cat-pattern on her clothing confirmed her identity!

"Am I teleported to the Yukinoshita household?!" There was no time to wonder why he had been so coincidentally teleported here, only to run into this kind of situation.

Seeing Otani pounce on Yukino Yukinoshita, Hachiman sprang into action.

"Breath of the Sun, Seventh Form—Sunflower Thrust!" The advanced demon-slaying sword suddenly appeared in Hachiman's hand, and he burst out of the wardrobe door. With a flash of cold light from the sword, he aimed straight for Otani's neck!

"An exorcist?!" Otani stared in shock and disbelief at Hachiman, who suddenly appeared in the room.

Even though he was a high-ranked general-class demon among many spirits, to those big shots he was just a small fry.

How could an exorcist come alone to deal with him?!

Unable to understand why the exorcist targeted him, Otani certainly wouldn't just wait for death.

"Roar!" With a low growl, Otani's human form instantly transformed into a monster covered in exposed muscles.

He roared, swinging his claws fiercely, clashing against the demon-slaying sword in an attempt to use brute strength to knock the exorcist away and buy time to escape.

"Bang!" However, the moment his claw collided with the sword, the sharp blade cut into Otani's claw as if slicing tofu, instantly cutting off half of his palm.

"How is this possible?!" Seeing his proud steel claw effortlessly severed, Otani panicked.

Combined with the intimidating title of "exorcist," the courage he had mustered quickly vanished. He scrambled toward the window in a panic, wanting to escape from Hachiman's side.

"Breath of the Sun, Second Form—Azure Sky!" Facing the fleeing Otani, Hachiman showed no mercy. His demon-slaying sword sliced across Otani's neck with incredible speed, extinguishing all signs of life in an instant.

"Congratulations, host. You have successfully defeated a general-class demon and earned 3000 Spirit Coins!" The system's celebratory voice sounded in his ear, but Hachiman had no time to care about that.

He hurried over to the bed to confirm whether the girl really was Yukino Yukinoshita. But when he saw the scene on the bed, he froze.

Yukino Yukinoshita lay motionless on the bed, dressed in an elegant gown like a delicate doll. Apparently, because of attending a banquet, she had done light makeup, Her pink lips looked alluring against the pale skin.

Especially when she noticed Hachiman staring at her, a faint blush appeared in her eyes, and her cheeks visibly reddened, striking a chord deep within Hachiman's heart.

"Sorry..." Shaking his head, Hachiman quickly brushed away the bold thought that had appeared in his mind. He slowly reached out to the bed.

When his hands touched Yukino's smooth thighs, he injected his spiritual power into her according to the system's instructions, breaking the restraints on her body.
