Her eyes were teary, and she looked both aggrieved and sad as she approached him.
She wanted to reach out and hold his arm, but seeing his perfectly chiseled face with those sharp features and cold, piercing gaze, she got too scared to take another step and stopped right in front of him.
She couldn't even meet his eyes. The pressure coming from him was too much.
It felt like he could see right through her with just a glance. Her pitiful expression only made her seem more innocent to others.
The customers in the store started believing her too. Their gazes toward Rachel turned more cold, full of contempt and judgment.
