You Also Have a Butler?!

Lily was upset. "Mina, watch your tone!"

Mina threw down her fork and stormed off, not wanting to stay a second longer.

Lily turned to Grace and apologized. "I'm sorry… she's always been like this."

Grace gave a small, wry smile. "Ma'am, it's best not to compare her to others in front of her. No one likes that."

She knew this all too well.

Every time her aunt asked about her grades, she'd scold Sophie for not measuring up, even to someone who'd lost their dad.

Then Sophie would take it out on Grace and make her life miserable.

Lily sighed, feeling guilty. "That's my fault. I didn't think about Mina's feelings… I'll find time to apologize to her."

Suddenly, Grace felt a pang of envy for Mina.

She had such a kind and gentle mother.

Meanwhile, she...

Back in her room, Mina was fuming. With nowhere to throw her anger, she grabbed the vase on her dresser and smashed it to the floor!

Seeing the shattered pieces, she felt slightly better.

Maybe it was just bad energy or something, but from the very first moment she met Grace, she just didn't like her.

And the more she saw her, the more annoying she found her.

Now she understood why Aunt Christine cut her off. If it were her, she would've done the same thing!

Christine hurried over, worried. "What's wrong, Miss?"

Mina snapped, "It's your precious daughter again. Mom's acting like she's known that outsider forever! If she likes her so much, maybe I should just leave and let her be Mom's daughter!"

Christine quickly covered Mina's mouth. "Don't say things like that!"

Mina shoved her hand away, clearly irritated. "Isn't there some way to get rid of her? I don't want to see her face anymore!"

Christine's eyes shifted quickly, then she leaned in and whispered something into Mina's ear.

After listening, Mina smirked. "Alright, Aunt Christine... you really do care about me."

That night, Grace tossed and turned in bed.

Even though the room was neat and the mattress soft, she just couldn't sleep.

Christine had come home late and went straight into another room, not even pretending to say hi.

No pat on the head. No hug. Not even eye contact.

Maybe it's better if I leave tomorrow, Grace thought to herself. The energy here's just so awkward.

And Mom… she probably wants me gone anyway.

She made up her mind quietly.

The next day, just when Li Wan thought Mina might throw a tantrum and refuse to show up, Mina surprised everyone by walking into the dining room like nothing happened.

"Grace, you haven't really explored my house yet, have you? After we eat, I'll show you around. The flowers in the garden are blooming like crazy right now," Mina said casually.

Grace blinked. "Oh? Uh… sure."

Li Wan smiled, clearly pleased with her daughter's change in attitude. "You two enjoy the walk. It's easier to talk with people your own age anyway."

Grace felt a little awkward. She had planned to leave right after breakfast.

Well... I'll just do the tour and say goodbye after. Leaving right away would be rude.

After eating, Mina took Grace around the estate in one of the golf carts, giving her a full tour of the Su residence.

The last time Grace visited, she was already stunned by how rich everything looked.

But now, seeing it all in detail, she realized that rich people's homes weren't just big, they were like works of art.

The tall, white main buildings looked just like castles out of a fairy tale.

Mina just needed a crown to complete the whole picture.

A girl like her, born lucky, really was the modern-day princess people only heard about in urban legends.

Noticing the envy in Grace's eyes, Mina couldn't help but smile with a little pride.

This was nothing, the real show hadn't even started yet!

Mina led Grace to her walk-in closet.

As soon as they stepped in, Grace felt like she had entered a mini shopping mall!

There were towering shoe racks that looked like Ferris wheels, rows and rows of dazzling designer clothes, and jewelry boxes filled with sparkling gems, it was a scene she couldn't have even imagined.

Mina watched Grace's stunned expression, clearly loving every second of it. She led her to a ring box and asked, "What do you think of these rings?"

Grace glanced at them.

Each one was decked out with huge diamonds and colorful gemstones, so shiny they made her dizzy. "They're all so beautiful."

"If you like one, pick it. Just take it. Think of it as my apology," Mina offered casually.

Grace looked surprised, but then smiled and shook her head. "No need, really. I wasn't mad or anything."

Mina tried to convince her again, but Grace politely turned her down. Mina shrugged. "Alright then, let me show you more stuff."

"Actually, it's okay. No need to go through all that trouble. I was planning to leave today anyway," Grace finally admitted after hesitating for a bit.

Mina blinked in surprise. "Huh? Leaving already?"

Grace quickly came up with an excuse. "Something urgent came up at school. They need me back right away."

Mina's eyes flickered. "Then at least stay for dinner. It's already getting late. If you leave without eating, my mom might think I was being mean or something."

Grace had no choice but to agree.

When Mrs. Li heard Grace was leaving so soon, she looked a bit disappointed.

"Why the rush? I was planning to take you and Mina to a musical."

"Thank you so much for the offer, ma'am. Maybe next time," Grace said politely, noticing how Mrs. Li seemed a little let down and trying to be nice about it.

Dinner was fancy, like, really fancy, and Mina was acting surprisingly sweet.

Just when everything seemed peaceful, one of Mina's maids rushed into the dining room and whispered something in her ear.

Mina gasped softly, looking surprised, and her eyes immediately locked onto Grace.

Grace felt nervous under her gaze. "What's wrong?"

Mina hesitated a bit, then spoke gently. "Grace… did you happen to take something small from my closet?"

Lily's eyes widened as Grace quickly denied it. "No, I didn't!"

"Then why is my diamond ring missing?" Mina asked calmly. "The cameras only show you going in and out. Of course, I'm not saying you stole it or anything. Maybe you were just curious and tried it on. It's not even that expensive, but my boyfriend gave it to me… so it means a lot. If you have it, please return it."

Grace's chest tightened. She waved her hands and explained, "I didn't take it! I don't go touching people's stuff. That's just not me!"

"Mina, don't jump to conclusions…" Lily began, but Christine walked in just in time.

"What's going on, girls? Why the drama?" Christine asked.

Before Lily could say anything, Mina spoke quickly. "Aunt Christine, my ring's missing, and Grace might've taken it. Could you talk to her for me? It really matters to me. If she gives it back now, I promise I won't go to the police or tell anyone."

Christine looked at Grace coldly. "You heard her. Miss Sue's being generous by not making a scene. Don't be ungrateful. Hand over the ring, you shallow-minded girl!"
