A Bite of Doubt

I savored the sharp tang of cheddar as it melted on my tongue, closing my eyes in pure bliss. After months of subpar human realm food, this cheese tasted like heaven.

"I think she might be having a religious experience over there," Rhys commented, his voice warm with amusement.

I opened one eye to find all four of my men watching me with varying expressions of fondness and amusement. "You have no idea how bad the cheese situation was in the human world," I defended myself, taking another bite. "This is practically orgasmic."

Jaxon raised an eyebrow. "That's setting a pretty low bar for orgasms, baby."

"I didn't say it was better than sex," I clarified, pointing the cheese block at him. "Just... comparable."

Ronan laughed, the sound warming me from the inside. "Should we be jealous of the dairy products?"

"Maybe a little," I teased, leaning into Rhys as he sat beside me on the couch.
