The Dimensional Gatekeeper part 1
A loud daunting shriek echoed.
Sending violent shockwaves of black corruption into the air. Savitar was frozen, his eyes twitched in fear.
Before him stood a thirty foot tall enraged arachnid. Collosal in size, compared to him.
He's nothing but a mere ant.
The Hermagodon rolled its eyes, it was already done devouring the heads of both Penelope and her lover Anjui.
Their bloods blemished the ground and their severed corpses scattered across the scene.
Savitar staggered back. His heart skipped a beat the second he locked eyes with the Hermagodon.
The grey dreadful eyes glaring directly into the soul of Savitar.
Savitar's legs quivered.
"I'm going to die" He thought to himself.
The arachnid released a ghastly shriek afterwards. The ground rumbled as the cacophony of the crumbling earth overwhelmed the atmosphere.
The earth cracked erupting violent quakes from every angle of the dingy subterranean underneath the surface of the earth.
Sand clouds engulfed the air.
While maintaining eye contacts with this behemoth arachnid. The Hermagodon charged forward. Breaking through the sand crust with its metallic with its metallic sharpened tarsus.
But it was quickly distracted by the quickly movements.
Captain Jaron charged out of the sandstorm, he dashed against the Hermagodon. Successfully distracting the Nightmare with his violent speed.
Submerging his body with <Convergence>
The crimsoned light illuminated.
The Hermagodon rolled its eyes. Facing the direction of Captain Jaron when Olsen appeared right above it.
Swiftly making his landing on the abdomen of the behemoth Nightmare.
Olsen engulfed his cursed weapon in <Convergence> and it was swung down with intense pressure.
Striking directly against the armored scutes of the arachnid.
His attack was brushed by the scute. But the sensation was felt by the Hermagodon.
The Hermagodon shook its abdomen and Olsen was sent flying into the air, pushed off from the Hermagodon's abdomen.
Olsen swiftly controlled his momentum. He made his landing.
He lifted his head, glaring at the shrieking Nightmare.
"The scutes of this monster is far more densed that we could imagine. Not even my scythe could piece it"
Olsen reported.
With Penelope and Anjui gone. Skarr, Jisyk, Olsen, Savitar and Captain Jaron remained to fight this Nightmare.
They quickly grouped together.
Each were given a role to play.
Captain Jaron swung his great sword into the air. Unleashing violent waves of <Convergence> against the Hermagodon.
But it was deflected.
Captain Jaron grinned.
"I expected this. I thought handling a triple marker Nightmare was the toughest but to think a fourth marker Nightmare is this terrifying"
"It's primal ability secretes gas which transforms into silk destructive webs. Penelope and Anjui were both killed by that"
"We must make sure the Hermagodon doesn't enwebb us or that is our end, we have to look for its weakness"
"Olsen, any idea?" Captain Jaron asked.
"The Hermagodon's hardened exoskeleton is hard to penetrate. It's scutes could withstand even major strikes"
"It's cephalothorax is also hardened enough to repel direct attacks. The only weakness it has is it's soft pedicel"
"If we can distract the Hermagodon and strike its pedicel. Separating the head from the abdomen, we can kill it"
Olsen explained.
"The pedicel eh? Then we need to change our plans, Olsen will lead the attack against the pedicel and is responsible for the damage"
"Jisyk is with him, while Skarr and Savitar will lead with me on the offensive side"
"We'll be serving as distraction so please kill this creature"
Captain Jaron exhaled a sigh.
Captain Jaron clenched the hilt of his great sword. He took a step forward, each step he took shook the air.
He activated his skill.
[Report. Report….you are exceeding your Starlight Output rapidly. Should i initiate Dante Mode?]
The Cariburn Chip of Captain Jaron reported.
"Yes" Captain Jaron answered.
[Permission granted. Initiating Dante Mode]
Captain Jaron roared the second he felt his bloods boiling brazenly. His veins protruded, scattered across his skin.
The <Convergence> within him surged.
His gas mask was shattered into pieces.
Seeping out of his body in an aggressive state. Captain Jaron was engulfed in <Convergence>.
Demonstrating the dark crimsoned light.
Captain Jaron wrapped himself in <Convergence> forming a physical demonstration of Starlight Energy.
An Aura!
Captain Jaron gnashed his teeths and within seconds. He dashed through the violent waves of corruption.
His movements teetered.
Charging directly against The Hermagodon. Savitar watched with a dazed look seen on his face.
The cyclonic waves brushed passed him.
"So this is the true manifestation of <Convergence> huh? A power of violence and destruction"
"The representation of negativity " Savitar mused.
"Wait for me Calptain"
Skarr sprinted forward. He amplified himself with <Convergence>. He ran through the clouded corruption.
Phasing into the scene.
Captain Jaron was already clashing with the Hermagodon. Performing his role as a distraction well.
Skarr excitedly joined the fight.
But even with a two on one handicap brawl. The Hermagodon still had the advantage and it dominated the fight.
Directing its nearly invisible webs against the two players.
Through the release of <the power of Cognition> could they easily see through the web attack.
They evaded the silk webs directed against them while attacking from different angles.
Meanwhile Jisyk and Olsen skulked. They hid their presence within the darkness while the Hermagodon was getting attacked.
Distracted from noticing them.
They sprinted. Equipped with their cursed weapon, Jisyk was the first who made the first move.
He enhanced his feets with <Convergence>
He leapt into the air. Appearing above the Hermagodon, he raised his battle hammer into the air.
Enveloping his battle hammer with <Convergence>
He directed his battle hammer against the abdomen of the Hermagodon. Releasing waves of shock into the air.
The Hermagodon felt it. The sharp pains which caused it to wince.
The Nightmare's ferocious shriek soared hoarsely.
The Hermagodon rolled its eyes backwards. It tried to see who strucked it but Captain Jaron wasn't going to let it happen.
He dashed into the air.
"Hey fucker. Look at me" Captain Jaron roared. He appeared right above the head of the Hermagodon.
Bringing down his great sword. He impaled his blade directly into the left eye of the Hermagodon.
Violent waves erupted, sending everyone flying but Captain Jaron held unto his blade. His great sword deepened into the arachnid's skull.
The Hermagodon rasped, it rolled its right eye, glaring at Captain Jaron.
It secreted a velvet colored gas into the atmosphere.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING OLSEN? FOR FUCK SAKE, KILL THIS BITCH!!!"
Captain Jaron screamed out. His brows furrowed, staring into the grey eye of the Hermagodon.
He could feel his soul seeping away.
"On it. Captain" Olsen leapt into the air, he clenched his cursed weapon, swinging his scythe into the air.
His eyes flickered.
"Cariburn Chip. Initiate Darka Mode" Olsen issued a command mid air.
[Darka Mode Initiated. Releasing
Olsen unleashed his <Convergence> with so much pressure. Bringing down the weight of his scythe.
He directed the waves against the pedicel of the arachnid.
But before the attack could connect. The monolithic crimsoned reticulated centipede shaped triple marker Nightmare charged out of the shadows it hid.
In a single attack. Olsen was devoured by the centipede shaped triple marker Nightmare without even knowing what happened.
His bloods splattered across the air.
Noticing this, the arachnid saw the aerial slash being directed against its pedicel, swiftly evading the attack.
It was already over.
Captain Jaron was enwebbed by the Hermagodon, without having the power to even fight back.
He groaned as he felt the webs tearing through his flesh. Tears flowed down from his cheeks.
"To think i would be dying without even seeing my daughter again"
Captain Jaron whispered and what happened next was extremely terrifying. He was shredded by the silk threads of the Hermagodon.
His bloods splattered and his limbs were severed into pieces.
His body parts fell down from the air but his head was captured by the Hermagodon who feasted on it afterwards.
The centipede shaped triple marker Nightmare charged against Jisyk. Jisyk was made untenable by the corruption seeping into his veins.
He was devoured by the centipede as well. Skarr on the other hand.
His body was crushed by the arachnid's tarsus.
And his head fed to the Hermagodon.
"It's over" Savitar wailed.
He hesitated out of fear. But watching his subjugation party been murdered in the most paroxysmal manner.
He wept. His heart raced fervently, he fell on his knees as his hands quivered.
Savitar became numb. The attention of the collosal Nightmares drifted towards his direction.
Savitar saw death in front of him.
He felt the surging burst of corruption. Tilting his gaze towards the hole he entered, he could see the sunset.
When the sunsets…..the true powers of the Nightmares would be unleashed.
The arachnid before him became four times stronger than it was before. The corrupt Starlight Energy it unleashed were far too nefarious.
Savitar's gas mask was crushed by the pressure. Exposing him to the radiating corruption engulfing the air.
Savitar collasped on the ground. His body shook vigorously, protruding veins spread vastly across his skin.
His eyes reddened.
The poisonous air he breathed him damaged his lungs beyond repair. Savitar's eyes blurred.
He blacked out. Falling into a world of darkness.
[Ding! Ding!]
[Conditions has been met]
[When the Sun sets and the Dusks settles in. The Sentry shall emerge, for this is his duty]

Located in the void. A space shrouded in pitch-blackness, a domain where the laws of time doesn't exist.
A pair of dark emerald eyes appeared in the endless darkness. The eerie waves blew.
The eyes glared into the vast nothingness.
Squinting afterwards.
"Finally, the gate has descended"
A distorted voice erupted from the dull world of nothingness.
And those were his words.
