Chapter 26: It's Her (Part 3)

**

"Snitching? That's for kids. I'm not doing that!" Ji Feng shook his head, grinning. "But if Tong Lei overhears us and tells your dad…"

"You're ruthless!" Zhang Lei glared at him, mock-serious. "Madman, I'm warning you, no matter how gorgeous this new teacher is, she's still your teacher. Don't get any ideas. The one who suits you best is Tong Lei!"

Ji Feng shot him a look, half-amused, half-exasperated, but stayed silent. He knew his place—there was a vast gap between him and Tong Lei. He wouldn't chase anyone until he'd built himself up.

The two bantered, and time flew by. Soon, it was time for class.

Ji Feng buried himself in his textbook, lost in his own world.

Two periods passed in a flash, and the third was English class.

"Here she comes—the beautiful teacher!" Zhang Lei leaned over, eyes gleaming with excitement. "Madman, I heard she's a real talent, stunning and smart. Don't lose it when you see her!"

"Get lost!" Ji Feng laughed, swatting at him. "You think I'm you?"

"Good, good!" Zhang Lei chuckled.

The sound of crisp footsteps approached, and the class hurriedly prepared. The boys, especially, sat up straighter, eager to impress the new teacher.

A figure in pink entered, a vision so captivating it stole their breath.

Ji Feng froze.

The teacher was tall, her figure exquisite, her features flawless, as if crafted by divine hands. Her eyes sparkled like autumn lakes, her smile radiant. A pink short-sleeved T-shirt revealed smooth, snow-white arms, while tight blue-and-white jeans hugged her slender, rounded legs, drawing every gaze. She was glamorous yet approachable, blending the allure of a star with the warmth of a girl next door.

"Why… why is it *her*?" Ji Feng gaped, dumbfounded.

It was Xiao Yuxuan—the beauty he'd met last night!

Her warm smile swept over the class, lingering on Ji Feng for a brief, subtle moment. Her eyes held a playful glint, unnoticed by others but clear to him.

"Hello, everyone. I'm your new English teacher. Let me introduce myself—my name is Xiao Yuxuan," she said, her voice clear and soothing, like a gentle melody.

"How is *she* a teacher?" Ji Feng thought, reeling. She seemed older than him, sure, but he'd pegged her as a repeater at most, not a university graduate turned teacher.

As if sensing his shock, Xiao Yuxuan's eyes flicked to him mid-sentence, a teasing blink carrying a hint of amusement. His stunned expression clearly delighted her.

"Since it's my first class, we won't dive into the textbook today," she continued. "Let's get to know each other. We'll chat and introduce ourselves, then start formal lessons next time."

Her pleasant voice put everyone at ease. "Let's begin!"

One by one, students introduced themselves. Xiao Yuxuan's beauty and charm captivated them, boys and girls alike, creating a lively atmosphere.

"Nice, *really* nice!" Zhang Lei whispered, staring at her like a lovestruck fool.

"You're hopeless," Ji Feng teased, shaking his head.

"Ji Feng, your turn!" a nearby student nudged him, whispering.

Caught off guard, Ji Feng stood, dazed. He'd been so shocked he hadn't heard Xiao Yuxuan's instructions.

Laughter erupted, especially from students close to Xu Mo, the vice-class monitor, who sneered.

"Look at that poor kid, can't even talk. No wonder Hu Xuehui dumped him!"

"Trying to chase a swan when he's just a toad—shameless!"

"He should just leave school in disgrace!"

The taunts reached Ji Feng's ears, but he remained unfazed, smiling calmly. "Sorry, Teacher, I didn't catch that. Could you repeat it?"

"Hahaha!" The class roared with laughter, some pointing and mocking him further.

Xiao Yuxuan frowned, uncomfortable with the ridicule, but as a teacher, she couldn't intervene directly. "Just introduce yourself—your interests, hobbies, and a bit about you," she said warmly, her eyes encouraging. "Speak boldly, don't be shy."

Ji Feng nodded, thinking, *Beautiful Sister, I don't care about their jeers, but for your encouragement, I won't let you down.*

Raising an eyebrow, he asked, "Teacher, can I speak in English?"

The room erupted in laughter again. In a small county high school, fluent English was rare, and Ji Feng's grades were mediocre at best. Offering to speak English seemed like he was setting himself up for humiliation.
