Chapter 119 Matatabi: Then go find another cat outside!

Along with Two-Tails' fierce feline roar, a surge of overwhelming power poured into Yugito's slightly weakened body.

"Fluffy furball, why'd ya hit me with so much chakra at once—mmph…"

A massive surge of chakra rushed into her, making Yugito's face turn bright red. As she gasped, visible streams of chakra spilled from her lips.

To get rid of the overwhelming chakra, Yugito didn't think twice before spitting out a massive ball of roaring flames.

Though it appeared like an overpowered version of the [Grand Fireball Jutsu], Seiki could tell just how scorching and wild those flames were. Anyone caught in them probably wouldn't survive.

In a flash, Seiki used [Earth Path: Underground Projection Technique] to vanish beneath the ground, dodging the attack.

Boom!

An explosion rang out, sending fire high into the sky.

Even deep beneath the surface, Seiki could feel the ground shaking and the scorching heat of the flames.

It felt like the entire earth beneath them was about to melt into nothing!

Indeed, the arena now bore a massive crater more than ten meters in diameter, at the bottom of which smoldered unconsumed flames.

Witnessing this spectacle, the villagers on the spectator platform trembled with fear. Were these two monsters? They were destroying the battlefield itself!

"There she is!" Standing amidst the ashes, Yugito scanned her surroundings before suddenly brightening and darting off toward where she'd sensed something.

Her claws sliced through the ground like cutting tofu, easily tearing through layers of earth.

But when she ripped through the layer below, Seiki wasn't there—only a sudden blast of corrosive acid greeted her.

A warning bell went off in Yugito's mind. As she belched out ghostly blue flames to block the acid, she hurled herself backward.

Sizzling filled the air.

Part of the acid evaporated, while the rest splattered onto the ground, instantly eating into the charred earth scorched by previous flames.

Seeing this, Yugito couldn't help but shudder with dread.

At that moment, a soft, syrupy voice floated up from the widened pit. "Nyaa, let me see who's bullying Lord Seiki..."

Then, a goofy-looking giant head pushed its way up from the ground below. Upon seeing Yugito, its antennae immediately retracted. "Eep! That's one scary aura! I'm gonna die, right? No no, I must be strong! I must be brave!"

With the Yin Seal already released, Seiki could have summoned a much larger Katsuyu. However, considering space limitations, he only summoned a slug about half the size of the arena.

Even so, it was still shocking enough.

Yugito stared blankly. "So...so big!"

Although this summoned Katsuyu had only raised its head above ground, its exposed antennae were already bigger than her. One could only imagine how enormous its hidden body must be beneath the surface.

On the spectator platform, Shidotatsu—who'd become the unofficial benchmark for Genin strength—shivered involuntarily. "This summoned beast is already nearly one-third the size of Manda!"

What terrified him even more was that Seiki standing atop the summoned beast showed no signs of fatigue whatsoever—did that mean he might be capable of summoning something even stronger, perhaps even a monster like Manda?

"Katsuyu, please cover for me!"

"Got it!"

Seiki leaped from Katsuyu's head, forming a Rasengan between his palms as he lunged toward Yugito.

"This is his Seal-less Ninjutsu? It's truly amazing!" Yugito could feel the massive energy in that chakra sphere — and she couldn't help but admire it.

Though she could also cast instantaneous techniques, she relied on Two-Tails' power to do so. Her personally mastered Lightning Release techniques were nowhere near this level.

Not to mention — he had developed this at only six years old!

Even Two-Tails couldn't help but praise within the sealing space, "In all my long centuries of life, this human child's talent ranks among the top five!"

These mental exchanges flashed through Yugito's mind in an instant.

Outside, she swung her feline claws to directly confront Seiki's attack.

Suddenly, acidic liquid spewed forth from within her line of sight.

Yugito had no choice but to halt her offensive and dodge sideways, yet Seiki seized this opportunity to push her into a disadvantageous position.

This wasn't all — that enormous slug seemed like a fixed artillery platform. As soon as she showed any intention of counterattacking, another stream of acidic liquid immediately came spraying her way.

What frustrated Yugito most was how precisely that slug aimed its acid. Despite both fighters being locked in close combat, the acid nearly never interfered with Seiki's attacks at all.

Yugito let out an envious sigh, "Big cat, look how perfectly they work together!"

Matatabi scoffed, "Then go find another cat outside!"

Forced into a sheepish grin, Yugito then turned her gaze solemnly toward Katsuyu, "We must eliminate his summoned beast first!"

In Yugito's eyes, such a large slug on this arena would be a living target, not difficult to deal with. The key problem was how to break past Seiki's defenses.

While dodging the relentless attacks, she continued thinking of solutions.

After two minutes though, she decided to give up thinking, "Big cat! You quickly think up a plan for me!"

Knowing the dire situation, Matatabi directly replied, "My Spirit Cat Roar can touch souls, but I'm currently sealed away. This little human's soul unexpectedly proves extremely powerful too, so I probably can only secure a single moment."

"Just one moment is enough!" Of course Yugito didn't believe she could defeat Seiki within that brief window, but seizing that chance to strike against his summoned beast should still be possible.

"Then get yourself ready!"

As he spoke, a blue spirit cat suddenly flickered across Yugito's delicate young face.

NYAAAAOOO!

"Even making Two-Tails cooperate willingly — what kind of pressure has this kid really put on them?" Observing this change, the Raikage couldn't help feeling amazed inwardly, before suddenly narrowing his eyes, "She's already regained consciousness, why hasn't she kept attacking?"

On the battlefield, Seiki remained calmly rooted in place, using this brief opening to condense another Rasengan.

Then, before everyone's horrified gazes, the chakra sphere in his palm rapidly expanded in size.

Unaware of the situation behind her, Yugito excitedly slammed forward with her claw.

[Slug Great Division!]

The giant slug's head portion above ground suddenly split into countless smaller slugs scattering in all directions, leaving Yugito momentarily bewildered.

Just then, a chill crawled up her arm. Yugito turned her head and was startled to see a tiny Katsuyu had jumped onto her during its slime-split escape move.

One glance was enough to make her pupils contract sharply—"This is a Flying Thunder God Technique tag... When did this happen?"

Yugito instinctively prepared to shake the little slug off, but suddenly, strange noises came from behind her.

At the sound, Yugito blinked out of focus for a second—but quickly snapped back.

But it was already too late. Seiki appeared using the Flying Thunder God Technique, instantly slamming a Big Ball Rasengan into her.

Boom!

Yugito's body rocketed backward like a cannonball, crashing into the wall with the force of a meteor strike.
