Chapter 7

I was wearing a moonbeam-white gown, waiting in the dressing room for the ceremony to begin. Ryker appeared behind me, wrapping his arms around me.

He rested his chin on my shoulder, his voice a soft murmur, full of deep affection.

“After waiting for so many years, I finally have you.”

“If I had known you would suffer so much with that bastard, I would have done anything to snatch you away back then.”

My heart gave a soft lurch, and I turned to him, my smile tender.

“But you have me now, haven’t you?”

His lips curved into a delighted grin, like a young pup with a treasured new toy.

“The Moon Goddess has favored me after all.”

The ceremony began. I stood under the moonlight as Ryker walked towards me, step by step.

With all the members of the Bloodfang Pack as our witnesses, we walked hand in hand to the altar.
