Naga woke up from a scary dream where mum begged him for help but he wasn't able to do anything and just watched her moving away and then disappearing from sight altogether.
Suddenly he started thinking about yesterday. What could have caused him to such hatred that he was ready to finish Suzuki off on the spot? Was it just the mention of his mother that made him react so sharply?
Naga didn't know the answer himself, he just turned over to the other side but couldn't fall asleep. The bed seemed uncomfortable and the sunlight from the yard was shining right into his eyes, so he nervously got up and closed the curtains. Naga was about to lie down again but he heard sudden screams. The sounds were coming from his father's room so he burst into the room and saw father on the floor.
At first Naga didn't know what to do he was so confused that didn't notice anything, breaking a cup of tea on dad's cabinet.
'Damn it!' he shouted and fell to knees before his father. 'Dad, please tell me something, what has happened?'
Dad didn't move, he was unconscious. Naga touched his wrist. The pulse was present.
'Dad, stop pretending, come on'
'He probably just got wasted yesterday' Naga thought and got up.
Suddenly he noticed a jar of pills on the cabinet. It turned out to be empty.
'I don't believe you could do that' Naga muttered 'you are not that dumb'. He threw the jar against the wall and it shattered with a loud crash on the floor.
A moment later, Naga called an ambulance and watched as doctors carried his father on stretchers.
'Tell me, is something threatening his life?' he asked a doctor, who carried dad into the car.
'I guess no, but we just have to revive him'
'I've just seen an empty jar on his cabinet and assumed that he could drink it all, what a silly I was' Naga said, scratching his head.
'Oh, don't worry, we will do everything we can, just a little patienсе'
Naga watched in amazement as the doctor got into the car and a few minutes later the car drove off, leaving him to watch after it. But the hospital was not far away, so in a couple of minutes he got there and found father's ward.
He sat on a chair, waiting for the doctor to leave the ward and suddenly noticed some woman about the same age as his father who walked here and there near Naga. It seems she was worried about someone close to her.
Naga got up and approached her. She was crying and didn't even notice that Naga was standing in front of her, so she almost fell, but he managed to hold her.
'I'm sorry, ma'am' he muttered, smiling to a woman.
'Who are you?' She asked, wiping tears.
'I'm waiting until I can go into my father's room'.
'Oh, so your dad is in behind this door'. She pointed to the door that Naga tried to get into later.
'Yeah'
'What a coincidence! There was my husband's ward'
'Your hu..husband's? You must be joking' Naga rolled his eyes and didn't understand what was happening.
Suddenly the doctor left the ward and the woman immediately rushed to him.
'How does he feel? Is everything okay with him?'
Naga still stood stunned and didn't move, trying to understand what was going on.
'Are you his wife?' the doctor asked, looking at a woman.
'Yeah, when I heard what happened I couldn't believe it І immediately rushed to the hospital'.
'No need to worry, he simply had an alcohol overdose and if someone hadn't called an ambulance, things would have been much worse'.
Naga seemed to have come to his senses.
'He is my father, can i see him?'
The doctor returned to Naga and noded. He entered the room despite the woman's protests.
The dad was awake, he looked somewhere out the window but noticing Naga he turned to him and smiled.
'Who is she?' Naga muttered, approaching dad 'I didn't think you were such a scum'.
'What do you mean? What kind of woman are you talking about?'
'Stop pretending!' Naga growled 'She is standing there, waiting to meet you'.
'Ah, you mean Ayaki, she is my old friend'
'That's why she said you were her husband?'
Father looked at Naga in fear.
'She's lying, don't tell me you believed her'
'It seems to me, you are the one who lies here'
Dad started laughing hysterically, but when he noticed the angry expression on Naga's face, he stopped. Naga clenched fists angrily.
'Just don't tell me you started dating her before mom died and I didn't even suspect anything'.
'No, no. I have known her for a few days'.
'Сalling a person your husband after a few days of knowing eachother is crazy'
'Alright, maybe not few days but a few months'
All of a sudden, Naga jumped up and grabbed his father by the throat.
'Are you gonna tell me the truth or not?'
'Let me.. go' Father started to choke.
'I won't let you go until you tell the truth'
'What is happening here?'
A woman burst into the room, the one who claimed to be father's wife, and ran up to Nobunaga in terror.
Naga still tried to strangle dad but she started beating him with her beg.
'Take your hands off you're unhinged, I really believed you were his son'.
Naga released his father and hearing his sobs, left the ward.
He was so angry he couldn't stop himself from a rage.
'This scum lied to me' he thought 'lied for who knows how long, he tarnished the memory of my mother. I should have left him to die. Was all this talk about how he regretted mum's death so much, how he couldn't live without her, was it all a lie?'
Naga carried all of his father's belongings out into the courtyard, throwing things with such force that they landed on the ground with a thud or flew in all directions. That is exactly what happened to his father's notebook and book, which Naga tore up in anger and then threw away.
'There won't be any trace of you left here' he thought 'hope you won't come back from the hospital'.
But these Naga's thoughts didn't come true because the father appeared at the house that same day at night and was shocked by what he saw.
"What the hell is this?" he burst into the house in a rage.
"Who are you to throw my things out of my own house?" he shouted when he noticed Naga at the table. "This is my house, and you just took advantage of the opportunity while I was in the hospital."
"This isn't your house anymore, get out of here!!"
"I broke up with Ayaki so we are no longer together"
"I don't care about you and your slut"
The father approached him in fury, but when the son rose, he seemed to dwarf him.
"Why are you acting like you're a spoiled brat?"
"Because you are my father," Naga replied hoarsely, huddled up.
"I raised you with dignity, the way you behave is not my upbringing at all, it's what you put into your own mind".
"I hate you," Naga muttered. "If you don't want to leave the house, I will."
"Let's talk, son, and we'll figure it all out".
The words barely registered to Naga . He pulled at his clothes from his drawers, ripping at shirts, trousers, socks. He lingered over the coat his father had given him while the old man watched helplessly at Naga's bedroom door. 'Just anywhere away from here', Naga thought as he shouldered his way past his father, a bundle of clothes clutched in his arms.
