One more month until she's born. I can't wait. One, because I'm bigger than a watermelon, two, I have to sit at the counter now and can't get up because of how heavy she's become, and three, I have to waddle to walk.
Everyone who comes in keeps asking when the due date is. I just shrug and say when the baby is ready to come. Every year for the rodeo picnic, the schools let the kids out for the day as a weather day.
I hope she's not born then. That would be a disaster in itself. Zach came over limping now. He kissed my temple before sitting next to me.
"What are you thinking, Kitty?" He asked. "When is the baby going to be due?" I told him. "She'll arrive when she does. Don't worry." He told me. I leaned against him. His left hand went around my waist and onto the baby.
She was kicking hard. She stopped once Zach put his hand on the bump. I took a deep breath and held his hand there. "Did she stop?" He asked. I nodded. "She's been kicking all morning," I told him. He got up and stood behind me. Then put both his hands on my belly.
She shifted a little before settling. I leaned back against him. He kissed my temple. Going to be a daddy's girl. The bell rang over the door.
Cash and Sawyer came in. Zach stopped and looked up. His hands moved lower on me. They rested under the baby. I relaxed as one hand went under my shirt. He knew how to keep me calm when they came in.
Both went into dad's office. Cash closed the door and locked it. Zach kissed my neck. We could hear the entire conversation as Cash yelled.
He walked out mad and slammed the door. I jumped, and the baby kicked once. Zach kept his hands on my belly a few more minutes before dad came out and asked if he could run the forklift.
"Yes, sir." He answered. Dad went back into his office. "What names did you think of for her?" Zach asked. "Sapphire or Rylin," I told him.
"Well, the choice is up to you. You get to decide on the baby's name." He said, " Kissing me. The work day was almost over, and I was ready to just get a bath and go to bed.
"Kat, you and Zach can go home. You and your mother will close up." Dad said as we went back in his office. "I'll drive Kitty." Zach said, " Grabbing my truck keys. I got in the passenger side and buckled up.
Once home and through the front door. I immediately took my boots off and went for a bath. I didn't even grab any clothes or nothing. The water was ran and I was completely stripped out of my clothes.
I held the bottom of my belly as I got in and laid down in the water. I'm not even going to think about the name or the due date right now. Zach knocked on the door before coming in with clothes.
"Thank you." I said. He sat down next to the bathtub. "Don't mention it Kitty." He said before kissing my temple. I got cleaned up and it was a struggle getting out of the tub.
"Zach." I almost yelled. He came in and helped me up. I kissed him as he set his hands below my belly. "I'll always love you. No matter what happens after she's born." He told me as he kissed my neck up to my forehead.
I leaned back against him putting my hands over his. Getting dressed was hard itself while I couldn't even bend over to touch my toes much less put a pair of jeans on.
He helped me get dressed and told me dinner was ready. I waddled into the living room and sat down on the couch. He brought me a plate of food and kissed my lips.
I was in yet again in another one of his shirts. No way was I going to get out of it either. I ate and sat it on the side table.
Then got up and went to bed. He got a shower and joined me. I loved it when his hands were on my baby bump. He kissed my neck and pulled me a little closer.
"I love you so much Kitty. I can't wait to be there for you when she's born." He said as he held me close to him. His hand slipped under the shirt and rested below the baby.
I fell asleep with him behind me. The baby was asleep at the moment so I got to sleep.
