Shopping

Linnea's POV

I wore my best dress, a black flare gown, and white sneakers. My hair was neatly tied in a ponytail, and I applied lipstick before stepping out of my room.

"Are you good?" Julian asked.

"Yes," I smiled.

"Let's go." He took my hand and led me out of the penthouse and to the parking lot. He guided me to his car, a white Benz, opened the passenger door, and helped me in before taking the driver's seat.

"Are you okay?" He looked at me as he started the car.

"Yup."

"Where should we go first?"

"The shopping mall; I want to experience it," I smiled.

"Good choice. We'll drive to a restaurant afterward." He drove out of the parking lot and left the hotel.

"How well do you know the city?" I asked him.

"I've been here a few times; Madison has..." He started to say but paused.

"It's okay, you can speak," I urged.

"No. Forgive me, that was a mistake. I should never have mentioned her," he apologized.
