Daniel stayed silent, refusing to speak, but his attitude further enraged the triplets.
"Where is she?" Thatcher approached him. "Where did you take her?" He demanded.
"And don't even try to deny it; I saw you that day at the parking lot. I didn't recognize you at first. You thought you could get away with this," Julian added.
They had had enough and were tired of Daniel's lies.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Daniel murmured, but a sharp sting on his cheek—"Smack"—caused his eyes to widen.
"You think we're joking?" Logan growled.
Daniel bit down on his lips and clenched his fists tightly, trying to suppress his growing anger. Becoming angry in front of them would signify a challenge, and challenging individuals of their caliber would be inviting his own death.
Daniel knew who they were. He was aware of their true nature. He lowered his head and kept his gaze fixed on the floor.
