A scoff left my lips before I could hold it in. "What did you just say?" I asked, my gaze moving from one Alpha to the next. "You want me to move in with you?" I questioned them to make sure I had heard correctly.

"Yes." Thatcher took a step closer, but I took two steps back, creating more distance between us.

"We want you," Logan declared, his eyes burning with intense need.

"Yes," Julian joined in. "We will also protect you; we'll make sure no harm comes to you. Please give us a chance," they begged.

Are they being serious? Is this some kind of joke? How dare they make such demands after the way they hurt and humiliated me in front of everyone?

No, I won't listen to them; I won't fall for their tricks a second time. I will reject the mate bond between us and cut every connection that we might have.

After making up my mind, I opened my mouth and started to recite the words I never imagined I would ever say.

Prologue

The triplets began another round of searching; they continued to inspect every room in the house until Logan noticed something unusual about the wall surrounding it.

Some sections of the wall appeared weak, while others were sturdy.

He approached the weak part of the wall and placed his ear against it to listen for any sounds. He heard water dripping from inside the wall, which piqued his curiosity.

"Guys, you should check this out," he called to his two brothers, who drew closer.

"We need to bring the wall down; it's a fake wall, not real," Thatcher observed.

Julian picked up a hammer by the door and began smashing the wall. The wall broke, and it did not take long before it collapsed.

"Shit, you were right," Julian groaned.

Thatcher and Logan entered the new room; after searching, Thatcher discovered a secret staircase leading down.
