Memory Lane

"What? What is it?" Daniel leaned closer to her when she suddenly went silent.

"It's… It's my mom..." She frowned.

"She texted?" Daniel asked.

"She did; she sent a message."

"What does the message say?"

Linnea opened the text and read aloud: "Come outside; I'm waiting in front of your door. I wish to speak to you; it's urgent."

"She's waiting in front of your door? What does that mean?" Linnea frowned.

"She's waiting in front of your door?" Daniel repeated.

"Yes, but which door? Don't tell me she's in front of the triplets' house."

"I think she is," Daniel murmured.

"Oh, moon goddess! Why would she go there?" Linnea quickly rose to her feet. Just as she attempted to leave Daniel's apartment, her phone began to ring.

She paused and answered the call.

"Julian," she breathed.

"Your mom visited; she wants to come in. What should I do?"
