There will always be surprises, unexpected life episodes provide unexpected mysteries.
Unfounded stories, unreasonable events, and natural phenomena that occur, lead to impossibilities that become real.
Life is not always about sweetness, sometimes bitterness like bile must be experienced. That's how things happen in this world, while still alive, tests and trials will always come.
Kalina stared closely at the man who was still holding her. Hatred radiated from the pair of eagle eyes that were hunting her.
Kalina could see her reflection in those irises.
So sad, the impression that Kalina received when she saw Kanaya's face. A foreign woman, whose whereabouts are unknown, has a bastard partner.
"Isn't it sad? Your hope for me to die did not come true at all. What else do you expect from me?" said Kalina, slightly understanding Zaki's wishes.
Hearing a sentence that had just come out of his wife's lustful mouth, Zaki was stunned.
Unexpectedly, the weak woman who used to always speak softly, never arguing or rejecting him, now threw out harsh words.
"Do you have amnesia? Or are you just pretending?" Zaki asked then.
"Do you want to argue with me?" He gripped his wife's jaw tightly.
Kalina winced slightly then grinned widely. Her smart brain responded quickly to Zaki's reaction. The strange thing for a month of being Kanaya's figure slowly emerged.
"Why? Are you afraid that I'm just pretending? Hey! Isn't it you who's pretending here?" Kalina said sharply.
Zaki was shocked again, his eyes opened for a moment to stare at the arrogant face of the woman below him. There was no fear that Kanaya usually expressed, his wife showed a different attitude.
"What? What are you talking about?" Zaki asked for the umpteenth time. "You want to die." His grip shifted to her neck, and Kalina felt her breath start to stutter.
"You deserve to die," Zaki continued, furious.
However, Kalina showed no signs of fear at all. Grin after grin emerged inviting stronger emotions.
"Being nice when Mom and Dad are still at home and... being rude when they're gone... do you only want to show kindness when they're here? Are you after something?"
"I don't know what our past was like, or... why I ended up in the hospital and a coma for a month, but after observing your behavior for a month... I realized, you're not a good man, like a husband should be," Kalina continued surprisingly.
Zaki gripped his wife's neck even tighter, Kalina did not resist at all and saw the flash of anger in his eyes.
A second later Zaki threw Kalina, making her cough. His gaze was still fixed on his wife.
Kanaya's figure now felt very different, the aura she radiated was not the same. Could it be that thanks to the accident, not only her memory had changed? But also her attitude? Zaki thought, uncertainly.
"Don't even think about tricking me. Because you have shown your fangs to me," Kalina continued.
Zaki really couldn't say a word. He pulled himself away again, followed by Kalina who continued to watch him.
Zaki rubbed his face in frustration, took a deep breath, and turned back to Kalina. A grin appeared on that beautiful face again, until a second later her husband left the room.
"So it's true, Kanaya's life is full of lies," Kalina whispered, sadly.

There was only dusk accompanying Kalina's solitude this time. On the round table in the room where Kanaya usually studied, Kalina placed the items she had found earlier there.
Zaki's grip marks on her neck were visible when the rays of the king of the day began to descend into the bed and enter the gap in the window.
Without thinking about it, Kalina focused on the objects on the table.
The same expression still faithfully framed her beautiful face. Surprised, only one word could describe the deepest contents of her heart.
Unexpectedly, the glare of her eyes radiated explaining her discovery this time. Both hands that were holding the diary were shaking.
Many times her luscious mouth closed and opened reading every word written there. Confirmed by real evidence from the photo adding to her helplessness.
"On the twelfth of the eighth month of the year two thousand twenty, I married the man I love very much."
"His name is Zaki Fathansyah, an archery coach and also a judge where I took part in the competition. The first sight when I met him had crushed my heart."
"Maybe this is falling in love at first sight? Is this what love feels like? Oh my God, I never thought I would fall in love with him."
Kalina opened the second page, "On the fifteenth of the twelfth month, two thousand and twenty-one, we officially got married. His attitude was warm and mature, I was very lucky to have Zaki."
On the following dates, Kalina read how sincere Kanaya's feelings were for Zaki. She was carried away by a feeling that she had never experienced before.
Page after page showed how happy Kanaya was when she became a newlywed. Falling in love with a good and wise person brings happiness.
However, when she reached the last page, Kalina was stunned, her chest ached reading a sentence written there.
"On the fifth of the ninth month, two thousand and twenty-two, I found a bitter reality. Where the man I had loved with all my heart betrayed me."
"He did not hesitate to use his hands, was rude, threw curse words, and sometimes made my body bruised and bled."
"His changed attitude made me wonder. Have I married a human or a monster?"
In the last sentence, Kalina could not continue. The throbbing pain continued to haunt her.
Tears welled up as she tried to read the rest. It turned out that Zaki's torture, abuse, and violence were not only given once or twice, but often.
Especially when Mrs. and Mr. Leandra went abroad. Zaki's attitude became even worse as if Kanaya had become a punching bag, not his wife anymore.
"So, all this time that man was just pretending to be good in front of Kanaya's parents? Not only a monster, but he's a devil," Kalina muttered looking at the photos spread out on the table showing the sad events experienced by Kanaya.
In the photo, bruises were visible here and there covering her white body. Kalina could not hold back her tears, she collapsed while leaning on the table.
As if there was an invisible hand squeezing her heart with all its might. Sobs slowly filled the air, the twilight that slowly disappeared accompanied the solitude.
How sad and terrible the life that Kanaya experienced.
Seconds passed, and the soundproof room was filled with only sad cries. Kalina was lost in the bitter story experienced by the owner of her new body.
"I... didn't know that a person's life could not be predicted. From the outside, I thought Kanaya's life was very happy, having parents who loved her, and a husband who loved her did not guarantee happiness to come."
"She had to suffer for years. Kanaya... did you dare to end your life that day? Is it true that you fell from the second floor just because of an accident? There was no element of intent?"
"Kanaya... where are you? Are you in my body?"
She stopped his chatter, pulled away, and wiped the tears on both cheeks roughly. "If it is true that you are in my body now, then... rest. Don't worry, I will avenge all of Zaki's actions that have hurt you."
The aura of sorrow turned tense, his eyes radiated seriousness. She wiped away the tears roughly then clenched his fists tightly.
"I can't see a woman being hurt like this by a bastard. I will make him pay for all the things he did to you."
"I will repay him!"
Strong determination and a firm will become Kalina's firm decision. Her eyes radiated seriousness, looking straight out the open window.
"I will repay him," Kalina said once more.
