CHAPTER 13

It is told in a story about a woman who continues to get inappropriate and very sad behavior from her life partner, still ongoing.

Being hurt repeatedly, both verbally and physically has become a daily meal. It is not easy to have to live filled with the shadow of torture from a loved one.

Love has truly made you blind. Kanaya Leandra thought that if she married the man she loved and loved her, it would end happily.

However, disaster came to block. The mirror of a hope to have a small family with Zaki Fathansyah was shattered.

Nothing can be saved, if glued together it will only leave painful scars.

That's what Kalina was thinking. She already knew how dark Kanaya's life was and she felt Zaki's cruelty.

The husband who should have protected them, been responsible, and given love and affection wholeheartedly, turned out to give her hell.

Who knows what the reason behind Zaki's cruelty was, Kalina has not found any evidence. However, what is clear is that now she has accepted her new life as Kanaya Leandra and will take that misfortune as revenge.

Kalina would not let Zaki continue to treat Kanaya as he pleased. Someday or whenever, if their spirits returned to their respective bodies, she hoped that this woman's life would be much better, even without Zaki.

That was Kalina's determination that had been made. She would not let Zaki treat her heedlessly anymore.

Kanaya was also a human being with a heart and feelings, she should not be toyed with as he pleased.

"So... you started to rebel against me? Since when did you think about that, Kanaya? Was it after waking up from a coma?" Zaki gripped her cheek tightly, causing pain.

"Have you been pretending to have lost your memory all this time? Because you want to take revenge on me? You-"

"Heh!" The deep voice surprised Zaki, a pair of lids opened to reveal the clear marbles inside again.

The grip on his wife's face was released. Kalina looked at the man beside her closely.

"I like the word revenge that you just said. I'm motivated, thank you for giving me an idea."

Her voice was hoarse, there was no hesitation. This was the first time Zaki faced his wife's seriousness, usually, Kanaya would say, forgive me, sorry, and stop.

Emotions took over, and Zaki turned to strangle Kanaya's neck tightly. Kalina's eyes widened, veins protruding around her temples as the oxygen supply began to weaken.

Her legs struggled, going up and down, and her hands gripped Zaki's wrists tightly, trying to release the grip.

Zaki was possessed, his eyes glaring red with his teeth chattering. As if he was being controlled by anger, he carried out an indecent act.

A few moments later, when he felt his wife was running out of breath, he threw her to the rough side.

Kalina coughed, grabbing as much oxygen as possible, while Zaki, still kneeling on the bed, stared at her wide-eyed.

"You will never be able to fight me. I remind you again! I... am the one in power here. Weak people like you are just a burden," he sarcastically then left the room.

Without realizing it, tears flowed uncontrollably, Kalina cried again, regretting the dark life that Kanaya had to live.

***

The afternoon approached orange and orange burst over the horizon. Silence greeted me, living on a hill surrounded by large trees brought peace.

After her condition felt better, Kalina left the room. Take a short walk to get some fresh air.

Zaki's actions made her whole body ache. However, she couldn't stay in the room all the time, Kalina had to immediately find an opportunity to avenge the man's rude actions.

Not long after, Kalina walked down the hallway on the first floor. Her steps stopped suddenly when she found her husband talking to someone.

"Who is that bitch?" Kalina whispered harshly.

She was silent for a moment until Zaki unconsciously looked back and found her. Because it was already known, Kalina approached them.

She could see who was with Zaki. It was a woman with long hair, wearing a long dress past her knees in peach color, with a large ribbon on the collar and ruffles at the bottom that looked feminine and classic.

For a moment, Kalina was stunned by the elegant appearance radiating from this woman whose identity was unknown.

She admitted that the figure was very beautiful with clean white skin, and gray eyes, like a princess.

"Who else is this?" she thought.

"Long time no see, Kanaya. I heard you had an accident, sorry... I can only come now. I'm... busy with my violin concert," she explained.

A violinist, Kalina thought when she heard her words.

The warm and gentle voice made Kalina freeze. She could feel something from the look in this woman's eyes.

"Ah, sorry Aurora, as you know. Kanaya had an accident a month ago and the doctor said she had permanent amnesia. So, she doesn't know anyone, including me and her parents," Zaki explained, his attitude was the opposite of last night.

"Oh is that so? I'm so sorry."

The woman named Aurora walked closer, holding Kalina's hand warmly. Her palm was so soft as if she had never had a hard job, unlike her.

"Kanaya, even though you don't remember me, but... just so you know we have a very close relationship, like siblings," she said with a sweet smile.

Kalina did not answer immediately, "somehow seeing that smile shows that there is an intention that is being hidden," her mind was in turmoil.

"Who are you? Do you know me very well?" Kalina asked, digging for information.

"Not only knowing each other, like I said earlier... we are more like siblings. People even say we are like twins. Kanaya, Aurora, that's our names," she said again.

Zaki had been silent all this time, watching the two women in front of him who were trying to get to know each other. He continued to watch his wife staring at Aurora as deeply as possible.

"What is she thinking?" Zaki's mind wanted to know.

"Really? Is it true that we are closer like siblings? So... who are you?" Kalina asked again, repeating the same thing.

"I am Aurora Cassiopeia, your childhood friend."

It was clear who the woman who was holding her hand was. Kalina was still scanning Aurora, especially from the facial expression emitted.

Then, her blue eyes glanced at her husband. Zaki smiled giving the best impression, Kalina held back her nausea watching it.

She returned to Aurora for a moment, pensive about something. "I'm sure there's something they're hiding. Did they have a relationship without Kanaya knowing? Friend? Does any friend look at their best friend's husband warmly like that? "It's sad," Kalina's mind monologued.
