Chapter 33

Chapter 32: The Real Lord (4)

The viscount’s guest room was spacious enough to hold a small banquet, which he actually did hold from time to time with his friends from the capital. Naturally, accommodating Diaman, his butler and a dozen-or-so of his subordinates as well as the princess and the twenty-something people that came with her, wasn’t an issue.

However, it appeared that the princess had something else in mind.

“I have something to discuss with you, so could you have everyone leave? You can leave behind your butler,” she said, her tone tranquil.

Meanwhile, all sorts of thoughts were rushing past in the viscount’s head. Despite coming here of her own accord, this young princess didn’t seem to be all that favorable towards him as though she had heard something from the people around her. He wondered if she suddenly had a newfound interest in this trashy abandoned territory and intended to hold him accountable for negligence.
