Chapter 7: Off Limits

Rory's POV

Fucking hell. That was the only thing that was going through my head after tangling with Chris. I laughed as she stalked out of my room. Colin was right when he noticed her defenses when we had her in the truck.

Noah noticed it when she aimed the gun at him. Our little spitfire was more than just a hacker. The way she held a gun proved that much. She analyzed everything in the room from day one. And it bothered me.

There was a sharp knock on my door and I did not have to wonder who it was. Like looking at a mirror, Colin walked in.

He whistled sharply. "I am glad I did not bet Noah, I would be out 3oo bucks." I laughed. Of course, the fuckers bet whether I would break under her.

"So how was she," Colin said smirking. I could see his devilish grin in the moonlight.

"Like a fucking drug," I said pushing my hands through my hair. I had seen the worst side of destruction and I would bet every substance that I touched that Christopher would be no different.

"Shit," Colin said. "Noah and I heard her from the living room. The girl's got a set of pipes on her." I laughed.

I let out a frustrated breath as I threw on clothes. I was never ashamed to be nude in front of my siblings but being naked made me think of how she traced her nails across my ink. It unnerved me.

"She dropped her guard again didn't she," Colin said, breaking my train of thought.

"Yeah, she did. She did it with Noah too." I said the memory of her teasing my older brother in her room. I wonder what would have happened if I had not intervened. I know Noah would not initiate it but the look of hunger in his eyes told me a different story.

"Well, he told me about it. Asher gave her a task to do so if she really is the best, we will see," Colin said as he began to walk out of the room.

"Colin…I think there is something that she is not telling us." I said think about how she snapped at me about lowering her defenses.

"Well, she is in our building with no way out." He shrugged. "From what we have seen, I have no doubt that she is something different."

I laughed. "That's the nice way of saying she is fucking lying to us."

Colin turned on his heel and bid me a good night. I did the same as I went to the shower in my room and washed away the smell and aftermath of sex that Chris left on me. I quickly put on a pair of boxers and went to bed. I thought about the spitfire withering underneath me as I went to sleep. My mind wandered to her screaming my name over and over again.

"Yeah she is going to be my addiction if I am not careful," I whispered to myself as I fell asleep.

I yawned as I walked into the kitchen. Ash was sitting at the front of the table with a newspaper and a cup of coffee. I grimaced at the bitter swill he drank. I took a cup from the cabinet and poured a cup with cream and sugar.

"Good morning," Ash said, not looking from the paper.

I grumbled, 'orning.' as I took a sip of the cup. I sighed as I slid to the chair adjacent to him. I was greeted with a plate of sausage, eggs, and hash.

"I am surprised to see you up, considering," Noah smirked. Of course, he knew Colin said that he and Noah heard us last night.

Asher moved the paper away from his sight, "Considering what," he said, looking at both of us.

I sighed, might as well bite the bullet."I may have—

"Bullshit there was no may have, Rory. You fucked our captive." Colin said, smiling as he sat next to me.

I looked at our brother's face and I was shocked to see that I could not read him. But that was nothing new. He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his slightly crooked nose.

"You slept with Ms. Young." He said bluntly. All I could do was smile like a Cheshire cat.

"You are fucking shameless brother," Noah snickered as he took the rest of the food off the stove.

"Look who is talking," my twin came to back me up. "If Rory had not, you probably would be balls deep in her, right."

Colin and Noah stared at each other for a moment before Noah turned away. "Your ass can find your own breakfast." Colin groaned at our brother's remark.

"Oh come on, Noah, that's not fair."

I laughed but stopped when I saw my brother Ash's face. "I know it's no excuse but it happened." I shrugged. He folded his paper and set it down. He buttoned his suit and stood up.

"Right now, until further notice, Christopher is off limits."

"You don't trust her, do you, Ash," Noah said as he poured a cup of Earl Grey.

"There is nothing to trust. We took her from one fortress to our home. She is being tested to see if she can be employed by us."

"And she does not trust us," I quipped. Asher looked at me searching for answers. I sighed. "She might have mentioned that we didn't give her a reason to drop her guard."

Ash smirked, "She is smart. Christopher knows that I will put a bullet in her if we don't trust her." I looked down at my food. Our little captive mentioned that as well when she was leaving my bedroom, but I did not want to bring it up.

"I have a bunch of meetings today so I won't be in til later this evening. Colin and Rory, you two are on patrol tonight. Noah, do not forget to go over the books. Oh and one more thing; Malcolm will be stopping by later."

Colin cussed out loud while Noah hit his head against the cabinet door. I shook my head. Our brother must love watching us suffer to have the prick come here.

I narrowed my sight to my brother. Malcolm was not the best of company, but he was more loyal than Terrell's ass.

"Is his brother Silas coming too," Colin said hopefully.

"No Silas will be with me. Do not let Malcolm near the hacker. The last thing I need is a trigger-happy dumbass messing up the house."

Asher said, taking his duffle bag and exiting into the elevator.

"So did he mean Malcolm or Christopher is trigger happy," Colin remarked as he tossed a sausage from my plate in his mouth.

"Don't think it really matters if one of them gets a weapon," Noah said as he eyed us.

"Fucking hell, I'll go put up the guns," I said as I headed to my room. I paused as I did not hear any movement from Chris's room.

"She is working on Asher's assignment. She has headphones in her ears and said this morning not to disturb her," Noah said as he cleared his area.

I wanted to make sure she at least ate something. When I had her against me, I could feel the sharpness of her bones against my fingertips. Had Jeger been starving her? Or was she afraid to eat from us?

I sighed as I moved my unfinished breakfast to Colin.

"Go take it to her while I get the weapons stored."

Both brothers stared at me as if I had grown an extra eye.

"Since when in the fuck are you carrying about prisoners?" Noah asked.

"When I could tell that she does not eat enough," I angrily quipped at my brother. I turned away and went to grab weapons, not wanting to have any further discussion about the woman in our lives now.

It was at least an hour since I did the task of putting the weapons in storage in Asher's office. The majority of them anyway. Each of us had a personal weapon that would stay with us.

I heard a knock on the door and swore under my breath. At least Christopher was in her room at the moment. I wanted to avoid any interactions between her and Malcolm.

" 'Ello boys," I heard the daunting voice coming through. "Did you miss me?"
