Chapter 118: Blowing Up the Entire Internet

At that moment, Bulma stepped out from backstage and walked to the media.

"Hello everyone, I'm Bulma, chief scientist of Capsule Corporation."

"I believe in the future, Capsule Corporation's products will reach thousands of households and change everyone's lives."

As Bulma appeared, the reporters gasped and furiously pressed their shutters, taking countless photos.

Everyone was quite curious about this beautiful young girl—but most of the focus remained on Tony and Smith, unless Bulma could develop some truly groundbreaking product.

A reporter asked:

"Mr. Smith, can you reveal what kind of product it will be?"

Another chimed in:

"Will it be weapons?"

"Since the company is called Capsule, is it medical-related?"

As the questions continued, Christine asked:

"Mr. Smith, Tony's nickname is Iron Man—what about you?"

"Superman Man?"

At Christine's words, the crowd instantly quieted. More than what kind of company Smith ran, everyone wanted to know his codename.

Hearing the words "Superman Man," Smith felt it reeked of bootleg knockoff vibes. Honestly, he'd rather take the name "Homelander" from that Florida artist.

Then Tony walked over and said:

"God!"

"Smith's nickname is God!"

Tony leaned over and whispered to Smith:

"We're already way over our time."

Rhodes had reminded Tony from the sidelines that they were long past the allotted press conference slot—since this wasn't a private event.

Smith nodded, and together with Bulma and Tony, left the stage.

Backstage, just as Smith and Bulma were about to leave, Pepper Potts came up.

"Mr. Smith, Stark Industries will be holding a board meeting in three days. Your presence is required."

Smith nodded and replied:

"I'll be there."

After a few words with Tony, Smith and Bulma left through the back door with their driver, John Wick, while Tony left with Pepper.

As the press conference ended, Stark Industries' stock instantly stopped falling and shot up at record speed.

Of course, the rebound was largely thanks to the technology behind Tony's suit. Whether it was Iron Monger or Iron Man, countless investors now saw hope. If not now, then when to buy Stark stock?

On top of that was Tony's personal charm as a superhero, and Smith "God" Dole. Two superheroes were now shareholders of Stark Industries—one the chairman, one a board member.

Countless people who saw the news threw their money into Stark stock, and Wall Street immediately upgraded the company's rating.

Clearly, people saw a new kind of war weapon: battle robots.

Tony Stark, who had been criticized, was once again praised to the skies.

When Smith, Bulma, and John returned to the Assassin's League castle, the first thing they saw on the TV was a report about him.

On screen, a photo was shown: Tony Stark on the left announcing he was Iron Man, and Smith Dole flying midair on the right.

The reporter said:

"Tony Stark has admitted he is Iron Man. We saw new technology, a new direction, and Stark Industries' stock has risen."

"In addition, another figure in the incident, Smith Dole, is being called 'God!'"

"Whether he will be like the godlike hero of DC films and save the masses remains to be seen. But according to on-site reports, as a taxpayer, he hopes citizens call the police first when in danger."

"Smith Dole's strength reminds us of the original Captain America—perhaps Stark's super-soldier serum has made a breakthrough."

Fox switched channels, but they were all still reporting on Tony and Smith—mostly praising them, though a few voices wanted them to make their technology public.

As for Bulma, while a few reporters mentioned her and even showed her photo, she wasn't the main topic.

Smith chuckled:

"Didn't think I'd become a household name as fast as Tony."

Fox walked up and said:

"Boss, I thought you planned to keep your identity hidden."

Smith had considered it, but given how strong he already was—and would continue to become—was there really a need?

He wasn't some broke, no-name street-level hero.

"No need."

Fox didn't argue. If Tony Stark could go public without being bothered, her boss—being even stronger—certainly had nothing to fear.

"Boss, in three days Stark Industries' board will meet, you need to attend. In addition, our base groundbreaking ceremony and product launch will also require your presence."

Hearing the packed schedule didn't surprise Smith. He simply said:

"Set up a foundation. The damage from future fights won't be small. If the damage is caused by me, have the foundation process and pay compensation as soon as it's verified."

"And speed up construction of the base. I don't want to wait too long."

"Boss, we'll step up the pace, but even at top speed, the scale means it won't be quick."

Thinking about the base's size, Smith understood. But then he added:

"Get those Eastern construction companies, have them work around the clock. Money isn't a problem."

"I want the U.S. builders to see what real Chinese speed is."

"As for the product launch, schedule it for a week from now."

"As for the venue, we can book the Chinese Theater in LA, or find somewhere in New York."

"Write down the guest list: Tony Stark, SHIELD, General Ross from the military, CIA, FBI…"

The combat power detector wasn't something to be sold to just anyone, and the price wasn't going to be low either—especially at launch, factoring in R&D costs.

As for whether it might negatively affect future street heroes—that wasn't Smith's problem. And if it exposed Skrulls hiding on Earth… well, good luck to them.
