So, it is a system.

Moon marched towards Sunshine and grabbed her hand. "Where is it? Where are you hiding it?" She screeched.

Sunshine drew her hand back and she slapped her cousin. There would be no more soft Sunshine. That idiot had died in the apocalypse. "Cousin, you need to get a grip."

She shook Moon really hard, pushing her into the wall, in a deliberate attempt to smash her head in. Memories of her cousin's betrayal traveled through her mind. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, and her hand went around Moon's neck. No matter how much Moon tried to push her away, Sunshine just squeezed tighter.

Something hit her on the back of the head, and Sunshine winced. She let go of Moon and turned around, eyes blazing with the fury of a thousand hell fires as she looked back at her aunt, Rowena.

Rowena had never seen so much hatred or felt such a chilling threat of danger. "She has gone crazy; Sunshine has gone crazy." Rowena screamed.

She went around Sunshine, grabbed Moon's hand and pulled her out of the bedroom, escaping Sunshine's fury.

"This is why I told you not to marry Cassius, she wants to kill you all because of the fool." Rowena scolded her daughter as they escaped the house.

Moon had yet to ponder on the reasons as to why Sunshine had attacked her, and she assumed that what her mother said was the truth. She smiled through the pain in her neck. No matter what, she would not give Cassius up. He was the key to her living a good life in the apocalypse.

Back in the bedroom, Sunshine had managed to calm down. She opened one of the mechanics books, which had been thrown to the ground. In the middle was a large square shaped cut and in that cut was a wooden box.

She removed the box and smiled. Moon had looked everywhere but she never thought to look inside the books. This book in particular belonged to her grandfather. It had been passed to her by her mother and inside was the cut and the box. In the box was the bracelet, also a relic left behind by her grandfather.

Sunshine locked the door and all the windows. Then, she sat down on the chair and observed the bracelet, wondering what made it so special. She thought about anything out of place that had happened when she gave Cassius the bracelet.

Nothing came to mind. But she remembered all the novels she had read in the apocalypse. Some had rebirth themes, others had protagonists with magical spaces. Hadn't Moon said that Cassius had endless supplies in the apocalypse. Was it possible that the good luck charm was a space.

She had met a few people in the apocalypse had space abilities. They could store thousands of supplies.

Excited, with a throbbing heart, she pricked her finger with a sewing needle that was kept in her desk and dropped some blood on the gem in the middle of the bracelet.

She only blinked once and then felt something slithering up her hand like a snake. She looked at her hand and saw nothing, but she felt a sharp pain in her mind and heard a mechanical voice.

"Repairman system activated. Initiating binding system."

Sunshine fell to her knees, holding her head because the immense pressure gave her the feeling of her skull being drilled into. All without anesthesia.

"User synced. Host acceptable. Symbiosis started."

Sunshine bit her lip to keep from screaming. If she drew attention here, Moon would find her.

"Symbiosis completed. Hello Sunshine, I am system RFK 210."

The pain was gone from Sunshine's mind and in its place was a dull throbbing which gave her a headache. The kind that one got from a night of binge drinking.

"Discomfort in the host detected, repairing immediately." The mechanical voice transitioned into a crisp perfect human-ish overconfident voice.

Sunshine felt a slight coldness in her head and then it vanished, along with the headache. It helped her calm down and she sat down in the chair once again.

"What are you?" she asked.

"I am a multidimensional repairman system host. I can help you fix anything. I can connect you to other dimensions and match you up with those in need of your services. I also come with a space in which you can store tools, equipment and other personal things."

Within the blink of an eye, Sunshine found herself in an empty space, with empty shelves. It seemed endless and hollow, like a long hallway with darkness at the edge.

It took her a moment to digest this and when. she did, overwhelming happiness flooded her.

"Yes! yes! yes!" She whispered, throwing her fists in the air.

With a space, she could successfully stock up for the apocalypse. She would not need to envy those with spatial abilities; she had her own. No wonder Cassius had been able to become so powerful. He had relied on this.

"Host, you will earn points for everything that you repair. The points can be used to upgrade the things you repair and this space and the system as well. To aid you in your mission, you get a welcome package.

A multi-language system user manual, one universal translation ear bud, a foldable tool belt with a drill, a spanner, screwdriver, tape measure, fusion welder, and a hammer. You also get ten points to welcome you, the newest repairman of the universe.

The system has detected many things around you that need repairing. Host, do you want to start a new mission now?"

Sunshine looked around the bedroom. Moon had broken almost everything in her mission to find the bracelet. It seemed she had done her a favor. Perhaps she should have stayed in hiding and waited for her to break more things.

As a mechanical engineering student that had worked part time in construction, a garage and a carpentry workshop, fixing things like these was no trouble. With the system, she would be able to fix everything, from cars to weapons.

She would be the apocalypse queen again, but this time, she would not be the fool that was injured, scarred, betrayed and used by others. She would be selfish; all the tools she had would be used to protect herself.

She picked up a cup that had been smashed, clothes that had been ripped, a broken laptop, two lamps, a jewelry box. Running to the storage area, she took all the things stored in there as well. Tomorrow, she would think about how to make money, stock foods, and get some payback from the fool Cassius.

She vanished into the space and decided to begin with the jewelry box. "Let's begin." she said in a determined voice.

Figures appeared before her eyes, showing her statistics.

"System explain this."

"This information is added to servers of the universal repairmen. It is how your clients will find you. Your location or planet is set on private but if you wish, you can change that."

"No thank you." She said immediately.

What if some alien warlord did not like her work and decided to come and look for her? She did not want to be slapped to death by a six eyed creature or little gray man.

"The unknowns are clear. That information will be added as you progress. As the system levels up, you will be able to briefly visit other worlds to interact with your clients if you wish. With points and practice you will be able to improve your speed. With points and through reading you can improve intelligence."

After figuring that out, Sunshine or Suni as most people called her, flexed her fingers. Killing Moon and hoarding would have to wait, she needed points.
