Chapter 46

"A-Amazing! I can actually inherit a Heroic Spirit's power here?"

"Is this real, Nami?"

Usopp's eyes were wide with delight as he looked to Nami, who was explaining the function of the Heroic Spirit Space to him.

"Yup. Not just you—before you, I, Zoro, and Luffy all received Heroic Spirit templates through Genrou's strange ability."

"Mine is the template of a mage named Kana. Zoro got one called Kokushibou, and Luffy's… well, he got Toriko, a Heroic Spirit who's basically an extreme glutton."

By the end of her explanation, Nami looked visibly exasperated—clearly recalling Luffy's bottomless appetite.

Usopp looked over to Zoro and Luffy, and both nodded in affirmation.

"Alright, Usopp. Since Nami's already explained how the Heroic Spirit Space works..."

"It's time for you to make your choice."

Genrou waved a hand in front of Usopp. Instantly, a translucent sci-fi-like interface appeared before them.

"'Long Nose' attribute: Pinocchio. 'Sniper' attribute: Robin Hood. And then..."

Even Genrou twitched slightly when he looked at the final option.

"Whoa, this guy has three attributes!"

"'Big Liar, Coward, Brave Warrior'—King. Genrou, what's up with this guy? Why does he have three?"

Luffy asked curiously.

"Yeah, it's weird. 'Coward' and 'Brave' are basically opposites, aren't they? How could one person have both?"

Nami supported her chin with one hand, puzzled, and turned to Genrou.

"Don't look at me like that. King probably shares all three of those attributes with Usopp—that's why they showed up."

"As for the contradiction? Well, no one ever said a coward couldn't also be a brave warrior."

"Right, Usopp?"

Genrou shrugged.

He had been surprised too, but ultimately chalked it up to a special system quirk.

After all, King from One Punch Man really did embody all three: a coward, a liar, and at times… someone truly brave.

"...W-What?! I'm not a big liar!"

"And I'm going to be a brave warrior of the sea—no way am I a coward!"

"Genrou, your system must be bugged!"

Usopp waved his hands wildly.

"Heh. You know deep down what's true."

"Now make your pick. Nami already showed you how to do it, didn't she?"

Genrou didn't want to argue, and just urged Usopp to decide.

"A-Alright then..."

Usopp smacked his lips nervously and stared at the three names on the screen.

Genrou also turned his gaze to the choices: Pinocchio, Robin Hood, and King.

'Never thought a fairytale fruit-type character would show up.'

'Pinocchio probably doesn't have much in the way of combat ability.'

'And King... aside from summoning Saitama and having a massive aura, he's pretty much useless.'

'The only serious powerhouse here is the Heroic Spirit Robin Hood from the Type-Moon universe.'

'Let's hope Usopp makes the right call. I need someone useful, after all.'

Genrou sighed to himself.

"I've decided. Let's go in order."

"I'll start with this 'Long Nose' Pinocchio. Since he's got a long nose like mine, he must be a great warrior too."

Usopp proudly rubbed his own long nose and tapped Pinocchio's name.

The Heroic Spirit Space trembled—and moments later, a small wooden boy with the same distinctive nose appeared before them.

"Huh? He's a toy?"

Usopp crouched, puzzled, looking at Pinocchio from a few meters away.

Pinocchio's appearance was nothing like the mighty warrior Usopp had imagined.

"Pinocchio is a puppet. But he's a living puppet."

"And as for his ability—it's entirely in his nose."

As Genrou explained, Pinocchio stood up and slowly walked toward the lake nearby.

"All in the nose? What kind of power is that?"

"Wait—is it like Toriko's super smell?"

Luffy asked.

"Nope. Let's put it this way—Pinocchio's nose can extend or shorten freely."

"When he lies, it gets longer. When he tells the truth, it shrinks."

Just as Genrou said this, Pinocchio had reached the lake and began demonstrating in front of his reflection—lying and telling truths to manipulate his nose.

"What kind of weird ability is this? What's the point of making your nose longer or shorter?"

Usopp twitched. Watching Pinocchio's show, a bead of sweat slid down his temple.

"Maybe if you choose him, you'll get an indestructible nose."

"You could keep lying to make it longer and then use it like a bullet or spear with your sniping skills."

Genrou's suggestion made Luffy burst out laughing.

Even Nami and Zoro couldn't help smiling slightly.

Usopp's face paled. Forget about the nose's strength—the idea that lying would visibly expose his thoughts made Pinocchio's powers extremely unappealing to him.

He shook his head. The moment Pinocchio's performance ended, he slapped his hand onto the name Robin Hood.

"Forget it. I'll pass on Pinocchio."

"Let's see what this Robin Hood can do."

As Usopp made his selection, the Heroic Spirit Space shook once more.

A second later, the group found themselves deep within a lush forest.

"What a beautiful forest..."

Nami spun in place, taking in the scenery.

"But Genrou… why is there no one here? Shouldn't Robin Hood have appeared?"

Usopp nodded and looked toward Genrou.

"Just because you can't see him doesn't mean he's not here."

"Nami, Usopp—why don't you check behind you?"

Genrou pointed behind them with a mysterious grin.

At his words, they turned to look—and in that instant, a green-clad man wearing a deep emerald cloak appeared right before them.

"So that's Robin Hood? Why did he just appear like that?"

"And that bow! Of course—he's an archer!"

Usopp stepped forward to get a closer look at the Heroic Spirit named Robin Hood.

"He just popped up like that… This feels a lot like the Stealth skill that Kazuma Satou once demonstrated."

"Genrou—does this guy have some kind of invisibility power?"

Nami asked.

"Good guess. Robin Hood does indeed have the power of invisibility."

"And it's far beyond Kazuma Satou's basic Stealth."

"You see that deep green cloak he's wearing?"

"Don't underestimate that—it's essentially his trump card."

"His Noble Phantasm: Mubou no Ou (Faceless King). When he dons that cloak, he can completely erase his presence and go invisible."

"Satou's stealth can still be detected by those with Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki)."

"But the invisibility granted by Faceless King? Unless someone has honed their Kenbunshoku Haki to a very high level, they'll never notice him."

"To anyone with poor senses, as long as you wear that cloak and make no sound—"

"Even if you stand right in front of them, they won't realize you're there."
