Exalting Sanctum, Seat of Divine Foresight.
Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan, and Lumina sat around a tea table, discussing the incident at Cloudford.
Though nominally a discussion, it was essentially a monologue by Fu Xuan.
"That's what happened," she concluded, her throat parched after recounting the entire sequence of events. She picked up her teacup and drained it in one gulp.
The tea moistened her dry mouth and soothed her agitated nerves, but its bitter taste made her delicate features tighten slightly.
"I see," Jing Yuan murmured, cradling his teacup. After hearing Fu Xuan's full account, he nodded thoughtfully, his gaze lowered as if deep in contemplation.
Notably, throughout Fu Xuan's explanation, Jing Yuan had silently nodded, his gaze shifting between his teacup and Fu Xuan, never once meeting Lumina's eyes.
His message was clear: he wouldn't hold Lumina accountable for this "unexpected incident"—at least, not until the truth was uncovered.
Lumina remained composed in the face of Jing Yuan's attitude, silently lifting her teacup and taking a small, delicate sip.
Hmm... the subtle fragrance of the tea, mingled with other delicate aromas, is quite pleasant. It's several times better than Fu Xuan's overly sweet tea... The tea offered a sliver of solace to Lumina's wounded spirit.
"Lady Fu, I have a plan," Jing Yuan said, lifting his head with a confident smile. He waved dismissively at Fu Xuan. "However, it's getting late. Why don't you take Miss Lumina to rest properly? We can discuss this further tomorrow."
Fu Xuan: ?
"You... Fine," Fu Xuan replied, wanting to protest Jing Yuan's words, but seeing the confident smile playing on his lips, she swallowed her objection.
Fu Xuan glanced at the main gate, then back at Jing Yuan, her expression questioning.
"Please proceed, Lady Fu," Jing Yuan said with a serene smile, gesturing with an open palm.
Nodding, Fu Xuan turned her gaze to Lumina.
"Let's go."
Sensing Fu Xuan's gaze, Lumina set down her teacup, slowly rose to her feet, and walked to Fu Xuan's side. Together, they departed the Seat of Divine Foresight.
"..." As their retreating figures disappeared from sight, the smile on Jing Yuan's face gradually faded.
"The Stellaron... the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus's secret teachings..."
Jing Yuan stood up from his chair, walked to the window, and gazed at the boundless moonlight, his expression turning cold.
If Lumina hadn't come to Luofu and this incident hadn't occurred, Jing Yuan might not have been able to identify his target so quickly.
From the moment Lumina boarded the Xianzhou Luofu, Jing Yuan had been secretly concealing her presence.
But as fate would have it, this proved impossible. A single live stream had completely exposed her.
Jing Yuan couldn't help but feel a sense of helpless resignation.
Just as Jing Yuan was pondering what the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus might do next, they remained as silent as stagnant water...
This filled Jing Yuan with suspicion. After a moment's thought, he arrived at two possible conclusions.
First, the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus had already met Lumina, making a second encounter unnecessary.
Of course, this possibility was extremely low. Lumina had never concealed her movements, making her whereabouts easily traceable with a simple investigation.
The second possibility was that a true "leader" had emerged within the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, someone who denied Lumina's identity and ordered them to abandon the search for her.
Who was this "leader"? That remained unknown for now.
An Emanator of Abundance? Impossible. Jing Yuan knew them well enough to be certain that if it were an Emanator, they would have already launched a full-scale assault.
Regardless, this matter was undoubtedly connected to the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus.
As for whether Lumina herself was suspicious... perhaps, or perhaps not.
To evade the Divination Commission's surveillance and smuggle a Stellaron into Xianzhou Luofu undetected, even if she wasn't an Emanator, she couldn't be underestimated.
Moreover, Jing Yuan had a premonition: the person who brought the Stellaron onto the Xianzhou might not be the same one who planned to detonate it.
Therefore, Jing Yuan had to prepare for the worst.
"The information we have is still too limited..."
Jing Yuan shook his head, drew the curtains, and abandoned these thoughts for now.
"Master Diviner, let's part ways here," Lumina said, walking beside Fu Xuan after they left the Seat of Divine Foresight. The bustling street stretched before them.
Fu Xuan stopped, turned, and looked up into Lumina's eyes. "You're the honored guest the General mentioned. There's no need for formalities; just call me Fu Xuan."
"Alright~" Lumina replied with a smile, nodding slowly. Her gaze lingered on Fu Xuan's petite head, and she desperately wanted to reach out and give it a good pat.
But remembering how the pink-haired bundle would bristle instantly if she dared to touch her, Lumina reluctantly suppressed the urge.
Despite her diminutive stature, the Master Diviner's capabilities were truly extraordinary. Lumina found her a tad... challenging.
Of course, only a tad.
If Lumina were to rank the difficulty of the Xianzhou characters, the list would look like this:
Jingliu >> Everyone else
Unaware of Lumina's inner thoughts, and completely oblivious to Lumina's desire to "devour" her cute little head, Fu Xuan said with a solemn expression, "Let's part ways here. I still have matters to attend to at the Divination Commission."
Although the General seemed supremely confident and assured, Fu Xuan felt compelled to take some practical action herself.
Having just finished two cups of Super Duper Extra Sugary Tea, Fu Xuan was exceptionally alert.
"Alright, I'll be going then," Lumina nodded, not lingering any longer before turning and leaving without hesitation.
Fu Xuan had to go to the Divination Commission to perform divinations, and Lumina had her own plans.
Based on March 7th's progress that morning, they must be preparing to fight Cocolia by now.
