In her previous life, Caia was just an ordinary white-collar worker whose only joy came from immersing herself in books. But one morning, she woke up surrounded by wires and strange machines.



That was when she realized she had been in an accident on her way to work and somehow ended up inside the very book she had been reading.



It might’ve been exciting if not for one major problem: the body she now lived in was destined for a tragic end.



In the original story, she was merely a supporting character who disguised herself to join the military, all for the sake of chasing the male protagonist. In the end, she was forced into a cruel experiment and killed.



Now, with the world falling apart, Caia must find a way to survive in a story where her role was never meant to have a good ending.
