Chapter 56 A calculated exit

"This is too despicable, isn't it?"

Paul said angrily. "Isn't this clearly trying to screw you over?"

Grace also frowned. "There's got to be someone pocketing those commissions."

"So, don't bother trying to persuade me. I've had enough. This company is too damn heartless."

Paul knew he couldn't convince me anymore, saying, "I feel powerless hearing you say that. With a sixty million project in your hands, any company would treat you like a treasure. I wish you good luck. Perhaps one day, if I can't make it here, I'll need your guidance."

Grace looked complex, especially since these past few days, she had been flaunting her skills in front of me for the project assistant position, sacrificing quite a lot.

I didn't say much. Fueled by anger, I stormed out of the company in a huff!

However, as I stepped out and felt the wind, I sobered up a bit, feeling some apprehension.
