Volume 1, Chapter 120: Great Prince, It's Time to Settle Accounts!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The Black Armored Cavalry, men and horses, crashed into the ruins of the general's mansion like dumplings. Su Miaozhen slammed down first, her internal organs震荡 (shaken), bones aching as if broken.

"I told you: if you won't remove your visor, I will. If you please me, I can make you willing to be my servant." The Great Prince sneered, approaching Su Miaozhen.

"The National Preceptor won't let you get away!" Su Miaozhen gritted out, unable to move.

"The National Preceptor? Hehe. If he comes, he won't leave." The Great Prince scoffed, reaching for her silver visor. "I must see if you're truly breathtaking."

Su Miaozhen turned away in屈辱 (humiliation), eyes绝望 (desperate). Lin Yu's figure flashed in her mind.

Click!

Her armor cracked, and the wooden carving against her skin burned hot. The armor shattered, and a dazzling scarlet light burst forth, forming a sharp sword intent shooting at the Great Prince.

"The carving...!" Su Miaozhen blanked, never expecting such a fierce sword intent of fire in the gift from Lin Yu. Hope flared—if this could slay the Great Prince, there might be a chance.

"Sword intent of fire!" The Great Prince laughed, closing his hand into a black vortex that swallowed the intent,消散 (dissipating) it without harming even his robe. The cherished carving turned to ash.

Su Miaozhen gaped—such a fierce intent couldn't wound him.

"Seventh Rank Myriad Realms fire sword intent. Unexpected treasure. Others might fall for it, but not me." The Great Prince sneered. "From the National Preceptor, I assume? Useless against me." He reached again for her visor.

Just then, golden light fell from the sky, enveloping Su Miaozhen. It rippled outward, carrying the might of heaven and earth that even the Great Prince couldn't resist, forcing him back.

He looked at the light, seeing a figure beside Su Miaozhen—reinforcements, perhaps the National Preceptor.

"Is that the National Preceptor?" The Great Prince grinned. A Ninth Rank Myriad Realms sacrifice would please the Demon Ancestor greatly.

Su Miaozhen stared at the figure in gold, its silhouette matching the National Preceptor's. Hope rose—had he really come from the capital?

As the light faded, Su Miaozhen and the Great Prince both gasped: "Third Prince (Lin Yu)!"

Su Miaozhen couldn't believe it was Lin Yu, the supposed "useless prince," not the National Preceptor. The Great Prince sneered: "My dear younger brother. You traveled from Zhou to die? I'll send you to join your brothers in the afterlife today."

"Third Prince, why are you here?" Su Miaozhen rose with a broken sword,苦笑 (bitterly smiling). "We'll die together. Is this fate?"

Lin Yu shook his head. "General Su, neither of us will die today. We'll both live." He looked at the Great Prince,恨意 (hatred) blazing. "I've searched for the culprit. Never thought it was you who betrayed me, doomed the 100,000 southern expedition troops, and sent assassins to cripple my cultivation! Great Prince, it's time to settle accounts."

The Great Prince laughed. "Your men were obstinate. I tempted them with cultivation and longevity, but most refused to betray you. Enemies must be eliminated, so I used the southern barbarians to slaughter you. Pity you didn't die in the Southern Wasteland, but becoming a famous fool is good—news of it reaching Penglai Continent will shame that bitch Qu Lingxian!"

"Qu Lingxian... That's my mother's name..." Lin Yu jolted. He hadn't heard it in years, barely recalling her. Since childhood, he had no mother like other princes; her memory was erased from the palace, her name taboo. He was also the Han emperor's least favored son, driving him to train hard and lead troops young, hoping to gain his father's approval. But nothing changed—after the Southern Wasteland defeat, other princes would have been scolded, but he was sentenced to guard the imperial tombs for life.

Hearing his mother's name and "Penglai Continent," Lin Yu realized the emperor's difference in treatment might relate to her.

"You know about my mother?" Lin Yu asked.

"Hehe, little brother, you know nothing." The Great Prince laughed wildly, glaring at Lin Yu. "Before you die, I'll tell you all about that bitch Qu Lingxian. Lin Yu, today is your death day!"

With a low roar, the Great Prince unleashed overwhelming威压 (prestige) like a tidal wave toward Lin Yu. Rubble turned to dust, and a hurricane of smoke surged at him.
