Volume 1, Chapter 145: Show Them the Might of the Sacred Mountain

The Second Prince spoke with full confidence, looking up at the robed warriors in the air. "Who are you, daring to cause trouble in the Great Han imperial city?"

Elder Huang led the group to descend slowly, then sneered. "I care not about the Great Han imperial city. I only want that girl. Hand her over, and we'll leave now. If you shelter her... heh, even the Heavenly King's Palace couldn't stop me from trampling it!"

"Bold! Where are the imperial guards? Form ranks!"

The imperial guard commander snorted coldly. Guards poured out from all sides, arraying themselves for battle.

"Heh! A bunch of weaklings think to block me?"

Elder Huang scoffed disdainfully. "Show them our strength. Let these bumpkins see the might of warriors from Fumeng Sacred Mountain!"

"Yes, sir!"

The robed warriors behind Elder Huang unleashed the imposing aura of Myriad Phenomena Realm cultivators. In an instant,狂风大作 (gale winds howled), and surging spiritual energy shrieked. Streams of pressure overlapped, crashing outward like waves. The imperial guards, arrayed in formation, crumbled under this terrifying pressure, staggering backward—even some fell to the ground. The once-rigid battle formation collapsed instantly.

"Myriad Phenomena Realm warriors... so many Myriad Phenomena Realm warriors!"

"Are all these people Myriad Phenomena Realm? Where did they come from?"

"What is Fumeng Sacred Mountain? Has anyone heard of it?"

Watching the imperial guards routed by the mysterious warriors' aura, shock filled the faces of the Great Han ministers. Especially regarding Fumeng Sacred Mountain—no one had the slightest clue; such a force seemed nonexistent in the Divine State Continent.

Thankfully, they had Lin Yu as their backup. Though Elder Huang's pressure was daunting, the Great Han court showed no fear.

"I'll give you one last chance: hand over the girl or not?"

Elder Huang snorted. The human warriors here were too weak. With spiritual power fading in the Divine State, no true powerhouses remained. If not for the Tempest Sea, the Sacred Mountain could easily send an army to conquer this land!

"What chance?"

Just then, a voice sounded. The Second Prince and others lit up, turning toward the sound.

"Good! The Prince of Qin is finally here!"

"Heh, with the Third Prince here, let's see how these fellows will cry!"

"Hmph! Daring to act arrogantly in our Great Han imperial city—did they not inquire about our dynasty's heritage?"

Seeing Lin Yu appear, everyone sighed in relief, whispering confidently.

"Third Brother, you're finally here!"

The Second Prince beamed, hurrying to greet him. Lin Yu's arrival gave him resolve.

Elder Huang and his robed warriors sized up Lin Yu, all wearing puzzled looks. Lin Yu's cultivation didn't even reach Innate Realm—why did these people treat him as their savior?

"Strange. This guy is clearly weak. Are those people mad? Why are they so excited to see him?"

Someone behind Elder Huang muttered, and others nodded in agreement.

"Silence! Some cultivation methods can hide auras. What you see may not be his true strength. Be cautious!"

Elder Huang snorted, warning his subordinates not to underestimate the enemy.

"Heh, Elder Huang, even if he hides his strength, he can't be a Void Transformation cultivator like you! With spiritual power fading in the Divine State, this lad is at most Ninth Rank Myriad Phenomena—no match for you!"

"Elder Huang is a Void Transformation expert, capable of碾压 (crushing) all Divine State warriors. With you here, we're invincible!"

"Exactly! With Elder Huang, we'll surely complete the Young Master's mission and bring the girl back to the Sacred Mountain!"

...

The robed warriors preened, convinced Elder Huang was unbeatable. Even Elder Huang, though he warned his men, didn't take Lin Yu seriously. They were right—what did hidden strength matter against a Void Transformation cultivator? Lin Yu was but a mantis blocking a chariot.

"Second Brother, what's happening?"

Lin Yu frowned at Elder Huang and his men, faintly sensing a trace of demon aura on them.

"Unclear. They appeared suddenly, demanding we hand over a girl."

The Second Prince looked茫然 (perplexed).

Lin Yu nodded, turning to Elder Huang. "There's no girl here. Leave."

"No girl?"

Elder Huang cackled, flinging back his cloak to reveal his inhuman features.

"Demon race..."

The Great Han court gasped.

"Eh! These people are half-demons from the Manggu Continent!" Master Tripod's voice sounded in Lin Yu's mind.

"Manggu Continent?" Lin Yu asked in surprise. "Master Tripod, do you mean those hybrid demons who moved to Manggu Continent?"

"Correct. Their bloodline mixes demon and human."

Master Tripod confirmed.

"Heh! We are not demons, but the Sacred Clan from Manggu Continent. The girl is hiding here—I locked onto her with the Soul-Locking Lamp; there's no mistake." Elder Huang's gaze swept over Lin Yu as he sneered. "Perhaps you didn't mean to shelter her. Simple—let us search. If she's not here, we'll leave without another word."

"Outrageous! This is the Great Han imperial palace—how dare you search at will!"

The Chief Minister's face turned铁青 (livid), stepping forward to rebuke them before the Second Prince could speak.

"Refusing a search means you have something to hide. Elder Huang, let me teach these bumpkins a lesson, a small 'Sacred Mountain shock' to show them the price of opposing us!"

A robed warrior volunteered.

"Good. Teach them their place." Elder Huang nodded, then snorted. "If not for our half-human blood, we wouldn't reason with weaklings like you. Since you refuse to see reason, don't blame us for being harsh!"

The robed warrior掀开 (threw back) his cloak, casting a contemptuous glance over the Great Han court before settling on Lin Yu. He hooked a finger at Lin Yu, sneering, "You drew everyone's attention when you arrived, as if you're powerful. Dare you fight me?"

"What? He actually chose the Prince of Qin? Is this seeking death?"

"Why pick the Third Prince of all people? This guy is doomed!"

"To be fair, none of us could beat him except the Third Prince—he is a Myriad Phenomena cultivator, after all."

The Great Han ministers looked at the robed warrior in surprise. His random choice had picked the strongest one—a "talent" of sorts.

Lin Yu laughed dryly, shaking his head. "Very well. I'll grant your wish."

As he spoke, he stepped toward the robed warrior.
