Volume 1, Chapter 160: What Is Your Relationship with Qu Lingxian?**

Qu Yongkang's face contorted in horror as he swung his sword at the crimson light.

The white mist surging from the blade formed a sharp edge, crashing into the crimson light with a thunderous boom.

In an instant, the ice sword intent–condensed blade collapsed under the Windrider Sword's strike, shattering into countless ice crystals that rippled outward.

The blazing flames on the Windrider Sword made Qu Yongkang feel as if he were trapped in a furnace, on the verge of being incinerated.

"Seventeenth Uncle, save me...!"

Qu Yongkang's face paled as he cried out for help.

A cyan light shot forward, striking the Windrider Sword. The collision of sword auras unleashed a violent hurricane, hurling Qu Yongkang flying and slamming him to the ground.

When the storm subsided, the Windrider Sword returned to Lin Yu's side. Qu Lingshan stood before Qu Yongkang, sword in hand, his expression grave.

He had sensed the danger before Qu Yongkang even called for help, allowing him to block Lin Yu's flying sword at the last moment.

"Who exactly are you? A genius like you can't be unknown—unless you're not a warrior from our Penglai Continent. Boy, where do you really come from?"

Qu Lingshan's face turned iron-blue as he stared intently at Lin Yu, as if trying to see through his background.

"Seventeenth Uncle, teach him a lesson!"

Qu Yongkang clambered to his feet, staggering behind Qu Lingshan and glaring at Lin Yu with venom.

Lin Yu's strike had shattered his pride as a prodigy of the Luoshui Qu Family. Now, he wished to tear Lin Yu apart.

"Don't worry. I will definitely seek justice for you."

Qu Lingshan nodded, radiating confidence.

Lin Yu almost laughed. Qu Yongkang had attacked him first, yet now they wanted "justice" from him. He didn't know what "justice" he owed Qu Yongkang.

The Luoshui Qu Family, one of the "Five Clans and Seven Prominences" that had ruled Penglai Continent for years—this must be the霸道 (dominance) ingrained in their bones.

Seeing Lin Yu's smile, Qu Lingshan's expression darkened: "Considering how hard you've trained, I'll give you one last chance. Surrender now. If we fight, I won't hold back."

Lin Yu gripped the Windrider Sword and smiled: "I also consider how hard you've trained. If you leave now with him, I can pretend this never happened."

"Damnation! You're courting death!"

Unable to bear Lin Yu's arrogance, Qu Yongkang shouted before Qu Lingshan could speak.

"Loser. Want to fight me again?"

Lin Yu smiled at Qu Yongkang, silencing him with a single sentence.

"If not, shut up."

Lin Yu's next words turned Qu Yongkang's face red with fury, but he had no retort, only grinding his teeth in hatred.

Just then, Qu Lingshan's gaze fell on Lin Yu's Sumeru Ring.

Confusion first flickered in his eyes, then he focused intently on the small ring, his expression turning to shock as he looked at Lin Yu in disbelief.

"Seventeenth Uncle, avenge me!"

Qu Yongkang called out, but received no response.

Qu Lingshan frowned, then沉声 (solemnly) asked: "Boy, are you from the Divine State Continent?"

"Yes."

Lin Yu looked at Qu Lingshan in surprise—he hadn't expected him to guess his origin.

"Who gave you that Sumeru Ring? Where is that person now?"

Qu Lingshan asked excitedly, his voice trembling.

Lin Yu glanced at the ring, confused about how Qu Lingshan recognized it.

"The Sumeru Ring on your finger is a unique design of our Luoshui Qu Family."

Noticing Lin Yu's confusion, Qu Lingshan explained: "Each ring has distinct patterns, allowing us to identify its owner at a glance."

Qu Yongkang finally looked at the ring and exclaimed: "Seventeenth Uncle, it's really from our family! Is he a branch descendant? I don't recognize him at all."

"Years ago, Qu Lingxian stole the Enlightenment Lamp and the ship capable of crossing the Stormy Sea because she opposed the family's arranged marriage. She left for the Divine State Continent."

Qu Lingshan said gravely: "This boy is from the Divine State Continent, and his age... He might be Qu Lingxian's son."

"Boy! What is your relationship with Qu Lingxian?"

Qu Yongkang glared at Lin Yu, his voice harsh.

"Qu Lingxian is my mother."

Lin Yu admitted it frankly.

"So you're that bitch Qu Lingxian's bastard...!"

Qu Yongkang's venom intensified. If he had wanted to teach Lin Yu a lesson before, now he wanted to dismember him.

"Where is Qu Lingxian hiding? Is the Enlightenment Lamp with you?"

Qu Lingshan's eyes glinted fiercely. "The family finally borrowed a ship from the Qinghe Zhao Family to cross the sea and capture that bitch in the Divine State Continent.没想到 (Who would have thought) I'd meet her bastard here in Spirit Mountain first!"

"No wonder you're so strong despite being from the Divine State Continent—you must have used the Enlightenment Lamp! If I had the lamp, I'd already be in the Void Transformation Realm. It's your fault I'm still stuck in the Myriad Phenomena Realm!"

Qu Yongkang roared, each word dripping with hatred for Lin Yu and Qu Lingxian.

Lin Yu frowned. Qu Lingshan's name只差一个字 (differed by one character) from his mother's; he must be Qu Lingxian's younger brother, and Qu Yongkang her nephew—his cousin. Yet both called her a "bitch" and him a "bastard." Was this deep hatred really because she took the Enlightenment Lamp?

"Hand over the Enlightenment Lamp. For the sake of your half-Qu blood, if you cripple your cultivation, I'll spare your life."

Qu Lingshan thundered. Finding the lamp in Spirit Mountain would be a great merit for his return.

Qu Yongkang also stared at Lin Yu— the lamp's allure was too great.

Lin Yu, with his Saint Emperor Sword Body, had no cultivation bottlenecks and couldn't fathom the pain of being stuck. For warriors hindered by bottlenecks, the Enlightenment Lamp was the world's greatest treasure.

Though it only aided cultivation, every warrior saw themselves as a peerless prodigy, believing the lamp would make their strength boundless. This was especially true for Qu Family warriors. Perhaps even with the lamp, their talent limited them to Ninth Rank Myriad Phenomena. But without it, when they hit their natural limit, they'd fantasize about how much further they could go with the lamp.

Unfortunately, Qu Lingxian had taken it to the Divine State Continent. They never blamed their own talent; they only blamed her.

Over the years, the Qu Family's resentment had festered, so much that mentioning Qu Lingxian's name made every member grind their teeth in hatred.
