Chapter 3547: 4.1147 How Ruthless You Are, Little Qiao

The spoon stirred in the small bowl. Qiao Mu picked up the small soup bowl and sipped from it, little by little.

Seeing her indifferent expression, everyone understood that she didn't want to delve into the Qin family's affairs, so they smiled and remained silent.

Qiao Sen mumbled something.

Wei Ziqin chuckled, rubbing Qiao Sen's head. "Meddlesome. How can we manage the affairs of such a large family?"

"Some things, just listen to what others say, don't judge casually."

"Oh." Qiao Sen pouted his little mouth, then turned and took half a steamed bun from the little monk's bowl, stuffing it into his mouth.

The little monk immediately wrinkled his bun-like face. "Female donor's brother, why did you snatch the monk's steamed bun slice? Taking someone's food is not the act of a gentleman!"

Qiao Sen looked down at the steamed bun slice in his hand, then glanced at the little monk. "It's just one piece of steamed bun, why are you bringing up whether it's gentlemanly or not?"

"Alright, alright, Kong Kong, there's more here." Mrs. Ren, both amused and exasperated, brought a small plate of steamed bun slices to the little monk, finally making the talkative little fellow close his mouth.

Yesterday night, the entire Imperial City was in a state of chaos.

Because of the commotion caused by the Qin Estate in the east of the city, the Imperial City's patrol teams were all dispatched, and many of the Crimson Forest Guards and City Defense Army also went.

The Qiao family hadn't slept well either. In the middle of the night, people and horses were in disarray outside. They lived on Changle Street, closest to the imperial city, and the incessant neighing of horses could be heard.

After breakfast, there was nothing much to do, so Qiao Zhongbang and his wife, and Second Uncle Qiao and his wife, all returned to their respective rooms to catch up on sleep.

Qiao Hu chuckled, "Sister, Shaoyao and I plan to go for a walk. Do you want to come along?"

Qiao Mu shook her head. "I'll go inside and cultivate for a bit."

"Okay."

Qiao Mu returned to her Pear Blossom Courtyard. The moment she stepped through the door, her expression suddenly changed.

Without a word, she flicked her sleeve, and several chilling glints of light shot towards the window.

A black figure suddenly darted through the window, and with lightning speed, grabbed her small hand.

"Let go," Qiao Mu's icy voice quietly sounded, like a clear pearl dropped into a frozen river, emanating a faint chill.

"Little Qiao, you truly have a ruthless heart," a long sigh slowly echoed in her ear.

The little poker-faced girl's expression turned cold. She tilted her head slightly, her gaze indifferently fixed on the man who had suddenly intruded into Pear Blossom Courtyard.

"Do you really want me dead, Qiao Qiao?" He sighed again, his gaze fixed on her.

Qiao Mu looked at him expressionlessly, putting on an innocent look of "I don't understand what you're saying," her eyes coldly staring back at him.

After a long pause, Young Master Qin finally spoke, "Qiao Qiao, your mind is meticulous, and your calculations are extraordinary. No woman can compare to you."

Qiao Mu looked at him with icy eyes, then abruptly pulled her hand away. "You'd better leave here quickly."

"It's too late. No one knows what might happen."

"You knew that the person who dispatched Shi Yongqian would come to silence her," Young Master Qin suddenly said.

"So the talisman you placed on her, in the moment before her death, Shi Yongqian would be forced to self-detonate her soul."

Qiao Mu turned her head and gazed deeply at him.

Although this Young Master Qin didn't know what kind of malicious talisman she had placed on Shi Yongqian, his judgment was quite accurate.

There was just one thing...

Young Master Qin didn't know.
