Chapter 3685: 4.1285 The Face-Slapping Continues
A hint of confusion, even a touch of hesitation, flickered across Bai Sheng's face.
"Did you just say you have a way?"
"Mm." Qiao Mu gave him a cold, expressionless look.
This old man, from the moment he appeared until now, had been standing in opposition to her. He didn't care about right or wrong, stubbornly opposing her, and insisting on saving Shan Yisu.
This made her opinion of the old man plummet to an extreme low.
She had already stated that this Shan Yisu was of no help to Lian's mother, yet he refused to listen to a single word.
He truly was an old stubborn fool.
"If you don't believe me, let her refine a pill right now," Qiao Mu said coldly. "Just let her refine any divine-grade pill, and see if she can do it."
The Third City Lord turned his head in annoyance upon hearing this, but was swept back several steps by Jiu Jiu's tail.
"Don't you dare slander me!"
"Are you implying that my Shadow City is colluding with Heaven's Destiny??"
"Heh!" The Third City Lord sneered, "It's well known! My Shadow City is beyond the three states, never contending for fame or profit. We've always lived our leisurely lives. Why would we sacrifice ourselves for Heaven's Destiny?"
"Shut up!" The Little Crown Princess turned and snapped.
"Can't you understand human words? I'm talking about her, yet you insist on taking that blame. How much do you know about this disciple? How much do you understand?"
The Third City Lord's old face stiffened. For a moment, he was speechless under her interrogation, his expression awkward.
Qiao Mu raised her small hand, scattering a dozen or so herbs like falling flowers onto the ground in front of Shan Yisu.
"Refine it now. If you can refine it within an hour, I'll spare your dog life."
Shan Yisu struggled to move her body.
She had a severed arm and a bruised head, her entire body covered in blood, looking extremely disheveled.
Her eyes were filled with hatred, glaring fixedly at the Little Crown Princess before her.
If a gaze could kill, she would probably swallow her whole and chew her to pieces.
"Are you joking?" The Third City Lord couldn't help but protest on behalf of his disciple.
"There are so many different herbs here, what divine-grade pill do you want her to refine? And it needs to be completed within an hour?"
It was well known that any alchemist needed to expend a great deal of effort, time, and even painstaking labor to refine pills.
"What, you can't even recognize the herbs?" Qiao Mu scoffed, hooking her lips mockingly, and pointed at the coiled herb in front of Shan Yisu.
"What's this?"
"Do you recognize it?"
Shan Yisu clutched her continuously bleeding severed arm, her eyes burning with rage as she glared at Qiao Mu, screaming, "You vicious, dead woman, what do you want to do now??"
"A hemostatic pill!" Qiao Mu tilted her small head at her, her gaze coldly fixed on her.
"A divine-grade hemostatic pill."
"Have you never refined one, divine-grade alchemist?" She glanced at her with clear sarcasm.
Shan Yisu was startled, her gaze shrinking as she looked at the dozen or so materials on the ground.
Those materials, thrown on the ground by Qiao Mu as if they were trash, from small to large.
There were grasses, flowers, leaves, roots, and even dirt, mixed haphazardly into a pile. She found it incredibly messy at first glance.
"A divine-grade alchemist who can't even distinguish the medicinal ingredients for a divine-grade hemostatic pill." Qiao Mu scoffed coldly, shaking her head. "This is truly an eye-opener."
