Chapter 3979: 4.1579 Don't Point at Me
A mere low-ranking maid dared to shout and flaunt herself in front of Zheng Wangfei. This didn't seem like a princely mansion at all; even an ordinary prominent family wouldn't be this ignorant of etiquette.
"Crown Princess!" Mo Xikang's face turned ashen with rage.
The "little white flower" (Lin Wan'er) trembled like a withered flower in the wind, shaking uncontrollably, looking utterly terrified. Her eyes darted fearfully at the little Crown Princess, who was looking down at her from above.
Qiao Mu gave Mo Xikang a cold glance, then her gaze sharply shifted to the "little white flower." With a sudden grasp of her hand, she seized the outstretched index finger. A sharp "crack" echoed.
Grand Elder He Wen looked utterly bewildered.
Ni Hanzhi's shriek instantly pierced the clear sky.
Lu Pinwen and Zhang Mingqiu exchanged glances, secretly reveling in a strange satisfaction. Heh heh, just as expected, reduced to dust in an instant...
"Don't point your finger at me!" Qiao Mu said coldly, then pushed her away with an expression of disdain.
Ni Hanzhi stumbled back a few steps, her face pale, and was caught by Grand Elder He Wen. He Wen looked at his beloved disciple with a pained expression, repeatedly saying, "Hanzhi, Hanzhi, come, first apply the medicine..."
The bottle of ointment Grand Elder He Wen had just pulled out was snatched into Qiao Mu's hand in a flash.
Ni Hanzhi looked up, her pretty face filled with hatred as she glared at Qiao Mu, enunciating each word with chilling coldness, "You're really something!"
Qiao Mu glanced at her indifferently, tossing the ointment in her hand. "If your strength isn't enough, then learn to be humble. Don't go around acting arrogant."
"In this world, no one is obligated to pamper you!"
If it weren't for Ni Hanzhi's extremely grim expression, honestly, Zhang Mingqiu and Lu Pinwen would have loved to give the little Crown Princess a thunderous round of applause. Wasn't it true? Ever since Ni Hanzhi arrived at the Royal Academy, she had been critical of everything, complaining about the living conditions and the food not being refined enough, acting as if a celestial being had descended. Yet, her actual abilities were negligible, while her nonsense was abundant. It was high time someone as resolute as the little Crown Princess dealt with this unruly woman. She saw everything as displeasing? Well, now she's hit a steel plate; she's got it coming.
Qiao Mu scoffed, then flung the ointment back into Grand Elder He Wen's hand. She took Mo Lian's hand and turned to head up the mountain.
Zhang Mingqiu made a show of trying to block them, looking distressed and somewhat aggrieved. "Crown Princess, what if the Dean blames us?"
Mo Lian smiled faintly, looking at the two fellow students, speaking with an air of nonchalance. "You two have a choice."
"You can turn a blind eye and let us go up the mountain. Or we can knock you out, and then we'll go up the mountain."
Lu Pinwen and Zhang Mingqiu exchanged glances, both twitching their mouths. Subconsciously, they took two steps back. Good people don't fight with bad ones. Isn't it enough that they're backing down?
Qiao Mu slipped past them, running through the middle, and Mo Lian followed immediately.
With that brief delay, Qi Xuanxuan and the Little Fatty also caught up. Qi Xuanxuan blinked, then looked curiously at Ni Hanzhi, who was holding her hand and moaning softly.
Ni Hanzhi's finger bones were broken, and with ten fingers connected to the heart, she was in so much pain that tears streamed down her face. Seeing Qi Xuanxuan looking at her with a curious, drama-loving gaze, she couldn't help but shriek sharply, "What are you looking at?!"
Qi Xuanxuan pouted her small lips and continued to run straight past with the Little Fatty.
Zhang Mingqiu couldn't help but call out, "Hey, students, you can't go up there!"
Qi Xuanxuan waved her hand. "Anyway, letting one person through is the same as letting four through. You're all going to be unlucky either way."
Zhang Mingqiu blinked. "That makes a lot of sense, actually."
"Master!" Ni Hanzhi, furious, tugged on Grand Elder He Wen's arm. "The Royal Academy treats guests this way? I'm going up to ask Dean Yun how he teaches his students!"
