Chapter 4246: Building Confidence
Golden-red curtains and a faint mist of fragrance.
Mu Rouhuan entered the small room, bowed her head, and saluted. "Mother, why have you summoned me?"
Mu Qingya, wrapped in a flowing, moonlight-white robe, reclined against the brocade couch.
Seeing her daughter's stern face, Mu Qingya subtly frowned.
Her gaze briefly lingered on the centipede-like scar on her left cheek before immediately shifting elsewhere.
"Rouhuan, pack your things and prepare to depart," Mu Qingya said nonchalantly.
Mu Rouhuan was startled. "Mother, where do you plan to send me?"
Mu Qingya smiled. "Child, your injuries are mostly healed. Mother cannot keep you by my side doing nothing forever."
"People will gossip."
"Mother, please just command your daughter if there's anything you need," Mu Rouhuan said blandly.
Mu Qingya nodded with a smile, then raised a hand to take a letter she had already prepared from her sleeve, handing it to Mu Rouhuan. "Just do as the letter instructs."
Mu Rouhuan took the letter, lowered her head, and silently opened and read it.
Then, she looked up at Mu Qingya with a hint of surprise. "Mother, you want me to go capture her?"
Mu Qingya nodded. "Mother has already thought of several methods for you. You can act according to the circumstances when the time comes."
Mu Rouhuan couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. "Mother, this matter may not go as you wish."
"Even at the peak of my cultivation, I was never her match, let alone in my current state."
"Rouhuan, you have too little confidence in yourself," Mu Qingya said, casting a faint glance at her.
Mu Rouhuan remained silent for a long time.
Mu Qingya sighed, stood up, and slowly walked towards her.
Seeing her head bowed in silence, Mu Qingya simply took her hand and whispered softly, "Rouhuan, do you know what your biggest weakness is right now?"
"You lack confidence," Mu Qingya sighed. "If a person has no confidence, what's the difference between them and a salted fish?"
Mu Qingya raised her hand, brushing a strand of her daughter's hair behind her ear, and softly said, "Rouhuan, what you need to do most urgently is to build confidence."
"You must understand that nothing is absolute. Just because you couldn't deal with her before doesn't mean you can't deal with her now."
"Moreover, you'll have Hongchang and He'er to help you."
However, Mu Rouhuan didn't immediately regain her spirits under her mother's encouragement.
She took a step back. "Mother, I will go."
Mu Qingya smiled gently and nodded. "I knew Rouhuan was the most sensible."
"But I might not be able to return."
Mu Rouhuan's next sentence made Mu Qingya's expression subtly tighten.
Mu Rouhuan lowered her eyes, stating with a somewhat cold expression, "I will do my best to carry out this task. As for the success rate, in my daughter's opinion, there's not even half a chance."
"Young Lady, you're being too modest," the yellow-clad woman beside them couldn't help but scoff.
Mu Rouhuan glanced at her. "Miss He'er, if you go with that attitude, I advise you not to go at all."
"With your abilities, you wouldn't survive three minutes in her hands."
He'er's eyes suddenly widened.
