Chapter 4418: Distant

Qiuqiu happily jumped to the ground and busied itself.

Qiao Mu walked for about two quarters of an hour in this lush green expanse before finally stopping. Looking back, the scenery was still a verdant green. Turning forward again, the spreading grass stretched endlessly, seemingly without a horizon.

Qiao Mu floated into the air, straining her eyes, but saw nothing unusual. As far as her eyes could see, there was nothing but green grass, seemingly without any anomalies.

She landed and sat cross-legged, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed. The situation now was like a turtle caught in a jar, seemingly completely enclosed by this spatial barrier. Yet, she didn't know where the boundary was and couldn't find a way to break through the barrier for the time being.

Qiao Mu looked up at the sky, which was surprisingly clear and azure, without a single cloud. She hadn't expected to see such a pure, clear blue sky in such a realm.

Since she was here, she might as well make herself comfortable. Qiao Mu wasn't impatient. She beckoned and brought out the bowl of plain noodles with shredded pork that Qiuqiu had cooked.

"Master, after you finish this bowl of noodles, do you have any plans?"

"How about Qiuqiu tries to break this barrier?"

Qiao Mu slowly picked up a chopstick, expressionlessly put the noodles into her mouth, and didn't speak. Qiuqiu knew her temperament; when she was thinking, she didn't like to talk to anyone. So it spoke to itself, "Crown Prince Mo and Lord Feng Chen both contacted me just now, but I couldn't pull them directly in. It seems the space around here is indeed very strange. People who appear to be right beside us might actually be separated by thousands of seas and mountains."

Qiao Mu sat on a sparkling golden stool, holding her noodle bowl, eating bite by bite.

"Master?"

Qiao Mu slightly raised her head, and the scene before her shimmered slightly. Two tall and straight figures appeared in the air before her. From the looks of it, they were walking inside a cave. Several winding black snakes with crimson eyes slowly slithered down the stone wall.

Suddenly, one of them shot out straight. Peach Blossom Immortal Venerable glanced sideways, and with a flick of his finger, a burst of energy pierced the snake's head, splitting it in two. Then, the floating image gradually faded, like water ripples, slowly creating subtle waves.

Qiao Mu's chopsticks paused, then she continued eating her noodles. After finishing the broth, she handed the empty bowl to Qiuqiu.

"Master, Master, Crown Prince Mo and Peach Blossom Immortal Venerable are together. You shouldn't have to worry."

Qiao Mu said expressionlessly, "When did I ever worry about them?"

"Then why were you silent just now?" Qiuqiu said, feeling wronged. It thought its master was upset and worried about her husband because they were separated, which was why she wasn't speaking.

"That's because you're too noisy. I don't want to talk to you," Qiao Mu retorted bluntly to Qiuqiu.

Qiuqiu immediately fell silent. Could it be? Was it being disliked by its own little master?

Qiao Mu put away her self-prepared small golden stool, stood up, and brushed off imaginary dust from her clothes. Seeing the defensive talismans on her body faintly shimmering, as if their power was about to dissipate, Qiao Mu unhesitatingly slapped a few more defensive talismans onto herself and walked forward.

"Walking like this, who knows when it'll end," Qiuqiu said softly. "Master, how about we try burning all the grass here to see what happens?"

"Can you burn this entire area?" Qiao Mu said faintly. "We don't even know how big this place is."
