Chapter 4605: 5.0357 You Don't Understand

Duoshan Ming's expression changed drastically; he was just about to reach out and grab his saber. However, the spiritual artifact, completely out of his control, fell straight down, sending him scrambling backward in a panic. The saber landed with a clang between his legs, startling him so badly that he soiled himself, rolled his eyes, and nearly fainted.

When the shiphands regained their senses, they suddenly heard the sound of waves crashing against the shore. Looking closely again, they found themselves back on a spacious deck, with vast, misty waters stretching to the horizon. The clear blue sky and white clouds, along with the sea breeze hitting their faces, filled them with excitement.

They were back, finally back. No longer in that landscape of endless yellow sand, thick earth, and desiccated ruins. The shiphands felt as if they had walked through a vivid dream, skirted the gates of hell, and then suddenly returned to reality, overwhelmed with mixed emotions of joy and sorrow.

"There's no need to panic, we've prepared a ship for you. Please follow me," a gentle voice entered their ears.

Several shiphands turned to see a refined and handsome young man. They immediately bowed and mumbled their thanks, then followed him in single file.

Qiao Mu stood by the railing on the second deck, watching Young Master Rong lead the people away, and quietly murmured, "What an unforeseen disaster."

"It's fine," Duan Yue smiled slightly. "Just have someone send them back to their village."

"Leave the rest to me, alright? Don't worry."

Qiao Mu blinked and nodded, but in her heart, she pondered: I must be more careful in the future, and not inadvertently drag innocent people into the Realm of Misfortune again. If I hadn't discovered it in time, those ordinary people might have lost their lives because of this, and that would be deeply problematic.

"Don't blame yourself too much. Give them some compensation, and they'll surely be happy," Ding Yun turned to look at her, seeing the little stoic's downcast expression, and said with a faint smile.

The little stoic leaned on the railing, propping her chin in her hand, gazing at the slowly departing passenger ship. Young Master Rong's actions were quite swift; he had already arranged the ship and people, sending them off so quickly.

"You don't understand." After a long time, so long that Duan Yue and Ding Yun thought the little girl wouldn't speak, she suddenly broke her silence.

"Hmph, you people who hold high positions, born without ever enduring hardship, naturally don't know what kind of mentality the common folk have."

"Some damages," Qiao Mu chuckled as if thinking of something, and said faintly, "No amount of compensation is useful."

Duan Yue paused, recalling his and Lian's speculation. This little girl might truly have past and present lives. He wasn't surprised at all by her words.

Young Master Ding, however, was unaware. Hearing this, he couldn't help but laugh aloud, tilting his head to look at her, and tsked, "You make it sound as if… you've lived at the bottom before."

According to investigations, the little girl's life experience was actually quite rich. She was recruited by the Divine Water Sect at the age of seven and became the Crown Princess at fifteen. With the Divine Water Sect looking after her and Mo Lian taking care of her later, it's unlikely she would have lived at the bottom.

Qiao Mu gazed into the distance, muttering to herself, "It can't be made up for," her eyes fixed on the distant sea horizon.

"The coastal fishing village is just ahead," Ming Yasi strode over, and upon seeing Duan Yue who had turned around, he unceremoniously shot him a cold glare.

"What are you all chatting about here? Are you planning to dawdle further? Let's go."
