Chapter 4773: Long Time No See
Young Master Qin Wu looked down to see the porridge bowl he had been holding now shattered into pieces, lying pitifully on the ground, beyond salvage.
He couldn't help but look up, glaring angrily at Qiao Mu. "Why are you so violent? You're always destroying things and attacking people without warning."
Qiao Mu looked at him with a hint of surprise, her gaze darting behind him, her face filled with caution. "Why are you here? Who's outside?"
"Oh, my Qiao, why are you still so alert and not cute? I'm just passing by!" a frivolous voice drifted in from outside the door.
From the voice alone, Qiao Mu knew who it was. Her small face immediately adopted its characteristic expressionless look. Without even lifting an eyelid, she coldly instructed the person outside, "Get in here."
Hearing this, Young Master Qin Da stepped into the room, a charming smile gracing his handsome face. "Long time no see, my Qiao."
The little stoic moved with lightning speed, immediately launching a volley of small nails at him without a word.
Young Master Qin Da's handsome face, typically as pleasant as a spring breeze, twisted slightly. He placed a hand on the doorframe, swiftly flipping his body outwards.
A row of black nails, as thick as small fingers, thud-thud-thud-thud, consecutively embedded themselves into the door panel.
A woman's startled shriek followed, accompanied by a flurry of hurried footsteps.
A group of subordinates nervously cried out, "Young Master, Young Master!" They haphazardly drew their swords, adopting a ready-for-battle stance.
When did assassins infiltrate the ship, daring to harm their Young Master without a word?
Young Master Qin Da twitched his lips, waving his hand helplessly. "It's nothing, it's nothing."
"There are no assassins, nothing at all, everyone stand down," Young Master Qin Da reassured his tense personal guards. "Step back."
"What do you mean, 'nothing'?" Qiao Mu heard a sharp female voice from outside the door. "Big Cousin, I told you not to save that person inside! She's so malicious, she never appreciates kindness, and has no gratitude whatsoever. Why save her?"
Upon hearing the words "Big Cousin," Qiao Mu couldn't help but roll her eyes to the heavens.
Here she was. After their parting at Sikong Star, her cousin Yang Fengyan, whom she hadn't seen for years, had actually been brought to the Three Continents by the Qin family.
It truly goes to show that having powerful connections makes things easier.
Given Yang Fengyan's abysmal talent and cultivation back then, even if she cultivated herself to death, she wouldn't have been able to ascend the Sky Ladder to the Middle Six Prefectures, let alone wander around the Three Continents.
So...
Talent and ability aren't always the defining factors. Many people with hundreds of times more talent and aptitude than Yang Fengyan simply couldn't gain the qualification to come to the Upper Realm due to their family's declining influence.
"I said it's nothing, why all the fuss?" Young Master Da's voice carried a hint of impatience, clearly indicating he was in no mood to argue further with Yang Fengyan and the others.
"Miss Yang, you don't need to worry too much about our Young Master. Just take care of yourself," an indifferent female voice spoke up, overriding Yang Fengyan's shrill cries.
"You're just a small concubine by my cousin's side! How dare you speak to me like that!" Believe it or not, I'll send you flying!
"That's enough," Young Master Qin Da pressed his forehead, a headache setting in. "Everyone, go back."
Yang Fengyan stomped her foot. "Big Cousin."
"No, I'm worried about you. I want to stay and watch that little bitch inside, to prevent her from harming you again."
Qin Xuan's face instantly darkened.
