Chapter 4929: 5.0681 Acquaintances
Suddenly, Young Master Da heard a loud "thump" as water splashed, startling him. He quickly sat up and asked, "What happened?"
Several sailors rushed to the railing, looked down, and exclaimed with strange expressions, "Seventh Young Master!"
"Seventh Young Master fell into the water."
"Quick, get a net, pull Seventh Young Master up."
Of course, Young Master Qin Qi didn't need something as undignified as a net.
He gathered his spiritual energy and leaped, shooting out of the water with a splash, landing lightly on the ship's rail, then jumping onto the deck.
Young Master Da slowly turned his head to look at him, feigning a bewildered expression as he asked, "This... the weather is so cold, Seventh Brother, why did you go into the water?"
Qin Chang knew he had been played by that stoic-face again. His face dark, he covered his half-broken nose, grunting as he ran towards his cabin.
Young Master Da chuckled, shaking his head.
"Young Master, Young Master, Young Master." Ling Ge rushed over, holding a pale purple crystal sphere in both hands.
"The spirit-measuring sphere is reacting again. There's a ship about seventy nautical miles away following us. It seems their target is precisely us."
"This ship has been following us since yesterday, so it seems their target is indeed our ship!" Fatty waved his purple-gold hammer, grunting. "Young Master, how about Fatty goes to meet them first?"
Young Master Da stared intently at the crystal sphere, his gaze fixed on the ship.
The image was somewhat hazy; he could only vaguely discern a few slender, upright figures standing at the bow of the ship.
Young Master Da gazed intently for a while, then a slight curve formed on his lips. "Ah, they arrived quite quickly."
"Ah? Young Master, do you know who it is?" Ling Ge asked curiously.
"Fatty."
"Here!"
"Come with me to meet them." A faint glimmer flashed in the corner of Young Master Da's eyes. He turned and instructed Young Master Qin Wu, "Xiu, order the men to speed up, change course, and wait for us at the nearby Daxi City."
"Ah? Not, not going back to the main altar?" Ling Ge exclaimed.
Young Master Qin Wu, however, said nothing more, nodding. "Understood, Big Brother. Be careful yourself."
"Don't worry, I'll be back soon." Young Master Da nodded with a smile, then leaped, taking Fatty and a few others, and swiftly headed towards the pursuing ship.
Ling Ge asked blankly, "Young Master, does Young Master Da know the people on that ship?"
"You know them too," Qin Xiu murmured, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
"I know them too?" Ling Ge asked curiously, scratching his head. "Young Master, I, I'm very dull-witted. I, I can't guess who it is."
"The Cangzhou Emperor is coming."
Qiao Mu tinkered with a mechanical arm, her small hand propping her chin, occasionally glancing towards the window.
Why did one punch make him not come back?
How boring!
She punched him, and by all accounts, he should have bounced back with relentless counterattacks, right?
She had already prepared all sorts of poisons, just waiting for him to come in...
Qiao Mu touched a basin of powder on the table. The powdery substances were in the same basin but divided distinctly.
There were five colors, and each color of powder stayed neatly in its own section, not mixing with other colors.
The five colors bloomed, perfectly arranged.
"What a shame," the little one mumbled quietly.
