Chapter 5107: 5.0859 Anger
The child's whereabouts were always elusive.
The hidden guards would report that they saw the young master wandering around the Crown Princess for two hours today, but when they tried to capture him later, he would be gone again.
So, he always had reason to suspect that the Crown Princess possessed some special ability or magic treasure that allowed her to conceal his grandson.
This was why his people always came up empty-handed and couldn't properly catch his grandson.
"What will it take for you to stop?"
King Fulin glared at Kong Yin with a gloomy expression. "Blood ties cannot be erased. He is always my grandson."
Kong Yin couldn't help but sneer, "You are truly selfish."
King Fulin's eyes coldly fixed on him. "Earlier, this king was wondering why you hadn't come to find me yet."
"Indeed, you still couldn't maintain your composure."
"If this humble monk hadn't come to find you, you would have found a thousand ways to notify me to come, wouldn't you?"
King Fulin scoffed, "Grand Elder truly understands this king. My demand is very simple: if you are willing to get this king out of this prison..."
"Absolutely impossible."
"Then that's truly a pity." King Fulin glared at him fiercely. "If you can arrange for my release from this place, I might consider never acknowledging this grandson in my lifetime."
"King Fulin, it must be truly unfortunate to be your son or grandson. No wonder most of your illegitimate children have died over the years." This was probably the most venomous statement Grand Elder Kong Yin, as a monk, had uttered in recent years.
King Fulin, however, didn't care at all. He just stared indifferently at Grand Elder Kong Yin. "What do you, someone without children, understand? This king also fought for an empire for them, but unfortunately, these people were too weak and simply had no fortune to enjoy it."
Over the years, he hadn't even bothered to count how many of his children he had sacrificed to establish his "great enterprise."
His daughters were sent out to forge connections, no matter whom they married, as long as they could be useful. As for his illegitimate sons, they naturally had to sacrifice and strive even more for the "great enterprise," even if it meant risking their lives, just to ensure the prosperous development of Duoluo Nation.
In resource-scarce places like the Pingjin Great Plains, they engaged in all sorts of atrocities—burning, killing, looting. Sometimes, just for half a month's rations, they would wipe out an entire tribe!
"Your so-called 'fortune' is indeed not something ordinary people can bear," Grand Elder Kong Yin said with a sarcastic smile.
"Enough nonsense," King Fulin said, his face contorted as he fiercely pounded the water dungeon pillar. "If you don't bring him before me by tomorrow, don't blame this king for speaking out everything."
"After all, although my little grandson is young, he is this king's direct descendant. By rights, he should be buried alongside a 'rebel' like me!" King Fulin sneered.
"Do you believe me? If you try to do anything to harm that child, the little Crown Princess will be the first one who won't let you off!"
Grand Elder Kong Yin dropped this statement, feeling unable to continue the conversation with this person, and turned to leave immediately.
He felt that if he continued speaking with this person, he might find it difficult to restrain himself from killing the man before him.
He was utterly unreasonable! His cultivation as a monk was almost completely worn away in front of King Fulin!
Taking a deep breath, Kong Yin turned and walked away.
He left King Fulin's angry roars behind him.
"Kong Yin!" King Fulin's angry shouts echoed. "Tomorrow, before sunset, is your final deadline!"
