Chapter 5126: 5.0878 Exasperated
The old monk was somewhat speechless and patiently explained to his young disciple, "It's not the eighteenth layer of hell."
"Furthermore, where would there be an eighteenth or nineteenth layer of hell? Hell is not divided into layers, it's just a matter of areas," the old monk snorted, unable to resist nagging his disciple a bit, "I tell you to do your homework more often, not to delay your studies, but you always slack off. You haven't even comprehended one ten-thousandth of the essence of Buddhism. Stubborn, stubborn!"
"Master, I do my morning and evening lessons every day. If you don't believe me, ask Female Benefactor."
Seeing the little monk pointing, the Female Benefactor merely looked blank. "Don't you usually do your morning, afternoon, and evening lessons all at once, finishing tomorrow morning's lessons tonight?"
Upon hearing this, the old monk's beard bristled and his eyes widened. "You must have been lazy and overslept again, unable to get up for morning lessons."
The little monk flattened his small mouth, quickly pulled his head back, and fell silent.
"Master, Female Benefactor, Female Benefactor's husband, can you tell me whom I'm going to see?"
"You're going to see your grandfather," Qiao Mu thought for a second, then spoke the truth. This child's mental age was different from that of ordinary children; he naturally had the right to know this.
Unexpectedly, the little monk's mouth opened slightly in surprise. "This humble monk's grandfather? Does this humble monk have a grandfather??"
How could he not have a grandfather? If you don't have a grandfather, where did your father come from? If you don't have a father, where did you come from?
Qiao Mu looked at the little fellow's innocent, bewildered expression and couldn't help but pinch his small face. "Yes, your grandfather is your grandfather, and you are you. After you see him later, just don't believe anything he says."
The little monk looked confused. "Is he a bad person?"
"He is a traitor," Qiao Mu nodded slightly.
The little monk understood the word "traitor," and a hint of surprise appeared in his brows and eyes. "Does that rotten old man want to drag this humble monk into trouble??"
Everyone: ...
This child's ability to draw inferences was too strong! They hadn't even revealed much information to him, yet the child had already figured out the mystery in one go.
Mo Lian carried the little monk, gracefully descending to the water dungeon below. He patted the little monk's head and said, "You don't need to be afraid of this person. Just answer as you normally would."
The little monk pursed his lips and "oh-ed" noncommittally. His large, bright eyes curiously darted around.
When his gaze fell on King Duoluo in the water dungeon, the little monk glanced at him, then quickly turned his head away, instinctively shrinking into Mo Lian's arms.
"Bang!" King Duoluo furiously smashed against the iron bars, roaring, "Come over here! What do you mean by hiding in the arms of this enemy?"
The little monk jumped in fright at his roar, instinctively hugging Crown Prince Mo even tighter. In his eyes, the strange man in the water dungeon was truly disheveled and pathetic.
Seeing the little monk hiding beside Mo Lian and refusing to get down, King Duoluo's old face flushed from anger, and his whole body couldn't help but tremble slightly. This child before him was King Duoluo's grandson, his direct grandson, yet he looked at him with indifferent eyes, instead hiding beside his enemy. After meeting for so long, he wouldn't even call him "grandfather."
Thinking of this, King Duoluo couldn't contain his rage and spat, "You truly are my good grandson, exactly as good as your father!"
"Shut up," Qiaoqiao Daren coldly uttered two words.
