Chapter 5391: The Autocratic Crown Princess
That carbonized skin from wind and sun exposure truly wouldn't recover just by wiping his face a few times!
"Master." Hui Feng felt like whimpering and crying. "Can we, next time, not assign your subordinate to mining?"
Qiao Mu patted Hui Feng's shoulder, nodding sympathetically. "Next time, I'll find a few brothers who are already dark-faced to go instead."
Mo Lian: ...
What the heck, listening to his wife bicker with his subordinate, why does he want to laugh so much?
Qiao Mu reached into her pocket, pulled out a small porcelain bottle, and placed it in Hui Feng's hand, patting his arm. "Hui Feng, you should take a Beauty Restoration Pill. It should help you recover quickly."
"This bottle also contains several specialized Beauty Ointments. I've made them into pill-sized forms. For the next few days, after each bath, just squeeze the ointment out and apply it to your face."
"In less than ten days, this Crown Princess guarantees you'll be back to your original appearance, ah."
Hui Feng violently twitched his lips, holding the small porcelain bottle containing the Beauty Restoration Pill, and speechless, looked up at His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. He's a grown man, why would he take a beauty pill? It would be utterly laughable if word got out.
The Crown Prince gave him a warning glare.
Hui Feng immediately gave up, nodding like a pecking chick, and forced a silly grin. "Crown Princess, you treat your subordinate like a teacher and a mother; it's truly too kind."
Mo Lian raised a hand to his forehead, then, without thinking, lightly kicked him. "Get lost quickly!" Always spouting nonsense here; he's clearly too idle.
After Hui Feng left, Mo Lian chuckled and took out a storage talisman from his pocket. "Keep this storage talisman safe; it contains quite a few holy stones."
Qiao Mu shook her head. "I don't need it for now. You keep it. See which of those 'rotten peaches' (referring to his male subordinates/friends who might attract trouble) needs it, and give it to them first."
Mo Lian raised a hand and stroked her head. Without arguing with her, he nodded and put away the storage talisman. "Did our son bother you today?"
Qiao Mu shook her head, a troubled expression on her face. "Little Dumpling is too well-behaved. He just eats and drinks when he opens his eyes, and falls asleep immediately when he closes them."
He usually doesn't cry or make a fuss. The occasional small sound is enough to excite Lady Qiao Qiao for half a day.
Lady Qiao Qiao shook her head, sighing with emotion. "My son is like you, quiet."
Mo Lian stared blankly at his wife's small figure as she turned and pattered towards the bed, twitching his lips in exasperation. Who's actually quieter? Back when they first met in Qiaotou Village, the words she spoke could be counted on one's fingers.
"Wife," Mo Lian whined, stepping closer and following her to the bedside. "You can't be like this."
"Like what?" Qiao Mu reached out and picked up Little Dumpling, who was lying steadily on the bed, and squinted at her husband.
"Blame-shifting." Mo Lian pouted, grabbing Qiao Mu's small hand. "You can't always think that all of our son's bad traits are like me."
"Are they not like you?" The little Crown Princess sniffed, then turned to ask the smiling Chief Eunuch Chen, who stood to the side, "Chief Eunuch Chen, you tell us."
"He's like His Royal Highness the Crown Prince! The little imperial grandson is especially like His Highness when he was young. Quiet, eats until full, sleeps until rested, exceptionally well-behaved."
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince: ...
Chief Eunuch Chen, whose side are you on? You used to always say I was bothering Mother...
Qiao Mu sighed softly, glancing at the Crown Prince. "Husband, last time Mother found out Little Dumpling's pet name, guess what Mother told me?"
Mo Lian's lips twitched violently. "Wife..."0
