15) Second Soul Ring
On the other hand, Liu Mengmeng went straight to the dungeon. She saw that Yue Guan was present there waiting outside the dungeon.
"Mengmeng, you are here." Yue Guan greeted.
"Elder Yue, sorry for keeping you waiting." Mengmeng apologized.
"Don't worry about those things. Come and absorb soul ring, I will keep gaurd for you." Yue Guan said and walked inside.
"Elder Yue, what kind of soul beast have been captured." Liu Mengmeng asked while following him.
"Two souls beast have been caught. One is Carapace Spider for Dong'er and other is Flame Tiger for you. Both are about 800 year old." Yue Guan said.
Soon they reached in front of a cell where a 4 meter long tiger with orange fur coat was chained tightly. The black stripes on its coat forms a flame pattern. The character 'King' is semi-formed on its forehead.
Liu Mengmeng entered the cell and killed the Flame Tiger without saying anything. A dark yellow soul ring soon appeared above the dead tiger. She pulled the soul ring towards her and started absorbing it.
Liu Mengmeng once again came under the starry sky where she had came during absorption of first soul ring. She had already thought which two attribute slates to activate this time. Two, indigo and white slates, started getting brighter little by little.
The indigo coloured slate is ghost attribute slate. The Liu Mengmeng selected it because it is most mysterious attribute in Pokemon world. In anime, ghost type Pokemon often show various abilities which can't be explained by move set of Pokemon games.
The white coloured slate is normal attribute slate. She selected it because it is most basic as well as most versatile. If she wants to create an exercise for vast majority of people, then only normal attribute, which can be compatible with everyone, can bring her clues.
Liu Mengmeng woke up as soon as two slates lit up fully. She found that the sun is setting down the horizon. She stood up and felt a tightness across her body. She looked down and knew the reason. With the absorption of soul ring, her body has maturred a bit and thus her clothes felt tighter.
"Elder Yue, thanks you for keeping guard for me. I have successfully absorbed the soul ring, so I will go back now." Liu Mengmeng said and left the dungeon.
"Ok, you go back and see you later." Yue Guan also left the dungeon.
Liu Mengmeng returned to Slate courtyard, took a bath and change into the clothes that maid brought for her. Looking at mirror, she found out that she looked like 11 year old.
Liu Mengmeng sat on the bed, possessed Arceus martial soul and merged the ghost slate. She had already read the data about ghost type moves from the Pokedex.
Most of the ghost type status moves affects the opponents and not yourself which makes them have no training effect for her. But she found out that other moves can be used for training.
Like Phantom Force, the game description for this move is that user will vanish for one turn and attack next turn. This doesn't look good. But in real life, this move can be divided into two parts, one is vanishing and other is attacking.
Liu Mengmeng ignored the attacking part and focused on vanishing part. The user vanishes can also be understood as user hid using ghost type energy. As long as she understood the principal of vanishing part, she can get a hiding skill.
Other case includes Shadow series moves, which used shadows to attack opponent and research on it can allow Liu Mengmeng to control shadows.
Last part is usage of negative emotions in many ghost type moves, these moves can open the door of study of emotions.
On the other hand, the set of normal type moves covers a wide range of categories. If fighting and psychic attribute increases her strength vertically, ghost attribute makes her elusive, then normal attribute improves her strength horizontally.
As for exercises related to ghost and normal attribute, she decided to wait till primary results of test comes out. It will take at least half year, she can afford to wait that much.
After her strength increases to a sufficient degree where she can at least save her life and run away, she would purchase the recruitment card from the system. Apart from recruiting the person, she is also looking forward to the power system of other world, whether it can be useful for her or not.
As for lottery, she decided to wait for points to be collected and do 90 draws at the same time and upgrade the lottery pool. The white and red grade items are of little use to her. Only when lottery pool is updated, she can steadily get items of orange and above grade.
